Both my Aunt & I have played this game and we both LOVE it!
It not only ties in nicely with the book by the same title, but each time you start the game it hides different items in different hiding places.
I have read all the Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew books and am just starting on the grown-up version of Nancy Drew books.
This game is AWESOME!!

The “product description” is rather misleading, indicating that there’s a plot with some variety and thinking required. It’s a repetitive treasure hunt followed by a trivial tangram-stylishness puzzle. There are perhaps three non-obvious places to look. My 8-year ancient got bored after five minutes. It might be fun for very young children.
The graphics are much better than the other DS ND sports meeting, and navigating is simpler than most, mainly because it doesn’t artificially use the stylus.
It’s not exactly the same if you play it again, as there a are a few more hiding places than items, and they get rearranged.

By and large, the game took me about an hour and a half to end. It is really fun while it lasts in fact, unlike what other reviewers have said. You find 10 missing items outside, 10 items on the first floor, and 10 items on the second floor (NOT 10 items total) while talking to people and interviewing them. It is really small and not worth the cash, but you can just re sell it on here for probobly most of what you paid for it.

Although this game is promising in being based on a classic Nancy Drew mystery, the game play is dull, the tale is completely linear, and your daughter will end it before you exit city limits on your next family vacation.
The navigation controls are perplexing as you search the house at Twin Elms and the grounds around it because you have limited viewpoints and it is simple to miss areas unless you concentrate on the map. This was how Myst played – in 1993, which is like the Dark Ages in videogame history!
Worse, the game offers no challenge, is criminally small, and the thought of replayability is pathetic (do it quicker!). You must find randomly generated items from lists 6 characters give you, then play 3 brief and non-challenging mini sports meeting to beat the game. If this takes you more than an hour, you’re not trying.
Too terrible Nintendo and THQ are trying to profit on such shoddy product these days.
