I reflect a lot of the unenthusiastic comments about this game can be categorized as “failed to meet expectations”. A lot of folks have played the Her Interactive Nancy Drew adventure sports meeting for PC and expected this game to be similar.
That complaint doesn’t apply to me, since I haven’t played any of the PC sports meeting, so had no preconceived thought of how the game should progress/be played going in. So….I loved it. Yes, it’s very linear and very unadorned to get owing to. Everything you need to do is marked and your hand is held all the way owing to (you are directed what to do next, exits are marked, items to investigate and people to query are all marked). But I still loved it. I liked the tale, liked the graphics and didn’t mind that I had no aimless wandering about to do. Not anything aimless because the appropriate management was always very clear.
Another major complaint people have is that the game is too small. If I’d paid list price when the game first game out, I’d have been upset, too. But now, the game has been out 2-3 years, and it’s readily available for a fraction of list price. At under ten bucks, I thought I got my cash’s worth.
I loved the tale and loved re-visiting Nancy Drew–haven’t give the girl detective much thought in many, many years!

We bought this game for my daughter for Christmas. We gave it to her about 1 o’timer and she was done with it before dinner. That’s too small a game for the cash. She didn’t even play it for that whole time, either.

I thought this game was cute and entertaining, but it’s best for kids, and probably just ones 13 and under. I mean, it only lasted 2 hours for me, max. And the mini-sports meeting get a bit dull because there are only a handful and you have to do again them each time you reach a lock or something of that nature.

I didn’t buy it for myself but for my granddaughter. I can say she hardly bunged playing it after she opened the gift. Even got up extra early to resume playing in the morning. It installed with no problems.

My 10-year-ancient daughter absolutely loved this game, but she finished it in a day and a half.
