MX vs. ATV: Reflex marks the highly anticipated return of the best-selling off-road racing franchise. Merging familiar features like the franchises trademark over-the-top, multiple vehicle type off-road racing and trick gameplay, with new features like 12-player race support, the all-new Rhythm Racing 2.0 physics engine, the revolutionary Rider Reflex control system and real-time terrain deformation, Reflex is positioned to take the lead in 2009 in off-road racers on your Xbox 360.
Gameplay Build around dual stick controls, the Rider Reflex control scheme built into MX vs. ATV: Reflex is designed to revolutionize the way you race in several different ways. The first of these is by improving precision turning when you need it. With the left stick controlling the bike and the the right the management that the rider leans, tighter and quicker turns are possible by jerking the two stick in the same management, carving the player to a stop or changing management in a instant, just as you would on a real bike. Similarly this ability to use the rider’s weight, also impacts more subtle abilities to control a bike, both on the ground and in the air as the rider uses his weight to slow, or alacrity up his momentum at crucial times and change the angle of his bike to right a terrible takeoff But Rider Reflex is not just about steering. It also has a major role to play while while you are in the air, allowing players to pull off tricks like never before. There are several tricks and mobile variations possible, all of which will take some time to learn and master, but the basic trick performance mechanism is unadorned. To pull off a trick just hold down the left bumper and indicate management on the right stick. Players can hold the stick in the final position to hold the trick longer. The tougher the go, the more movement is required of the stick. Tricks can also be combined for extra stylishness. Wreck Avoidance System No matter how sick attempted tricks might seem, they aren’t worth much if you can’t stick the landing. With this in mind MX vs. ATV: Reflex helps to get you back on the ground, safe and sound with a wreck avoidance system. In the event that players can’t manage to use the Rider Reflex control system to right themselves as they come back to earth, this automatic system provides a last chance to avoid the disaster by alerting you to your danger with an onscreen arrow as the ground rises to meet you. Players must quickly flick the right stick in the direct of the arrow for the rider to regain his balance and keep on going. But expect to be challenged. If you are too slow you will wreck, and the harder the impact the less time you have to react. Terrain Featuring a new terrain engine, MX vs. ATV: Reflex provides unprecedented terrain deformation that make ever-changing courses as off-road vehicles carve shape and deep ruts that have a real-time impact on gameplay and remain persistent owing to the full length of each race. Ride With Your Favorite Motocross Stars More than just a game, MX Vs ATV: Reflex allows players to share the track and race against their favorite top athletes in qualified motocross and supercross. Just a few of the top riders that players can expect to cross paths with include, James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, Josh Grant, Ryan Villopoto and many more. Key Features

Don’t be fooled by the title, just because you can keep yourself from wrecking by moving the stick certain ways, doesnt make it any more of a challenge. In fact in all the sports meeting, Pure, Motorstorms(the best), and grown-up MX vs ATV, you could always steer or go to avoid accidents. Graphically the game looks no different than MX vs ATV untamed which i prefer over this, and much worse than Pure, or Fuel(one of the worst off road sports meeting to date). So all that being said i’m a huge off road fan, and loved many sports meeting in the past, this one is just a rehash of, well the same ole same ole, with added movement (they claim), to steer better and more accurate owing to ruff terrain(whoopi, lets owing to in some pyshics and weather here!!). Sorry i rented it and i would not pay ten dollars for that, by the side of with terrible graphics, let alone [...] bucks. Btw i played it for 15 minutes, got the hang of things, became bored, then shut it off and played Trials ha:)…..Go on.

Pretty excellent game if you are a fan of the MX VS ATV series. The new control system is a small hard to get used to at first. Also tricks are a small harder to pull off as well. Once you get the hang of it its splendid fun. The physics for this game are incredible, it really makes it fell like you are controlling the Bike/Quad.

The game was excellent but you need a lot of time to play the open area .

I bought this game for my motocrosser son. He absolutely LOVES it! He thinks its the best motocross game out there. Favorite part is how the game in fact makes ruts like on a real track. Would recomend this game.

MX vs ATV Reflex is a pretty fun game if you like off-road sports meeting. If you’ve played previous version of “MX vs ATV” (and loved them), then you’ll like this game. The only drawback is that there isn’t much new here. The graphics are improved and the controls have been tweaked; the newest control scheme is you being able to control both the bike and the rider. This feature gives you more control, but, it’s more button presses for you to agonize about and ends up messing up your stunt most of the time. In other words, it’s more of a hinderance than an advantage. If you have an itch for a new off-road game, then pick this one up. If not, then keep playing your ancient copy of MX vs ATV. There’s not enough difference to warrant the new game buy.
