It’s truly refreshing to play a sports game that feels polished and finished. MVP 2004 is a gorgeous, deep baseball game. The game is full of options and more options, but the developers didn’t miss an opportunity to make a nice baseball game. The game play is terrific, surprising, and right on.
The actual game presentation and graphics are very excellent. Ballparks from major league cities and spring training facilities are all top-notch. Boston’s Green Monster, San Francisco’s cove, Philadelphia new PNC Park are just a few examples of a devotion to “get it right.” The character animations are fluid and detailed. Pitching, base running, and fielding are simple to pick up and the controls make sense. It’ll take a few sports meeting to get used to the batting, though. But after you get the hang of it, you’ll be hitting homers before you know it.
As for options, MLB 2004 has copious ways you can delight in this gem. There is the exhibition mode where you pick two teams and get after it. Rosters are accurate and attributes appear to be very honest. Season play offers varying lengths of schedules, from 14 to 162 sports meeting.
By and large, EA Sports recreates all that is excellent about baseball and packages it in MVP 2004. The game just has the “feel” of being well-balanced and complete. I hope this game is a sign of things to come from EA’s sophomore series. –Andrew S. Bub

Lefty hitters expirence a potential outage.
The ball only goes maybe 75% as far compared to RHB’s
and Jose Gullien’s arm stregth is a 70. HE HAS A CANNON FOR A ARM. What’s up with that ?
And the dynasty Mode is seriously messed up cause minor league players never turn out to be any better than avg players.

It should be called MCP instead of MVP. I played 1 and 1/3 inning it was enough for me. Everytime I made friend it was a soft roller to 2nd, three straight times the same result. I got one out pitching, with a system that looked like making kick offs, which is hard to master, how about doing it over 100 times? Three pitches one out, one Double and one Home Run I had enough. Graphics and player models look splendid, but it’s no fun if you can’t play the game with out being a hardcore game. Anyway Baseball has become so terrible of lately, why spend 50 bucks in this game when there are better sports or action sports meeting less complicated specially if you don’t have time to spare in order to play a video game.
