My favorite sport to play outside is football but my favorite video sports meeting are usually baseball sports meeting (until ESPN 2K10 comes out thanks Madden!!!). I really had a fun time with this game and couldn’t wait to play it as soon as I got off work. The controls are very open and what really made it fun was i dont know 90% of the players I’m playing with and figuring out who your star is really brings the shut-da-F***-up-and-play-da-damn-game mentality into play. Who cares who’s who. Just play.

worth the 30 bucks, the rock and fire pitching is nice. Go Blue.

It was a fun game when it started but then it was way too simple. Then I brought the level to all star. Still I was winning by a lot. It’s a fun game but it’s too simple after a while.

I initially bought NCAA 06 because I wanted a baseball game for my new PS2, and I had more interest in my school’s team than any Major League team. Sadly, MVP 06 seemed a bit sloppy to me, particularly when using the analog joysticks.
MVP 07 version seems to be a marked improvement over its predecessor. This game has visual instruction as to how one uses various pitching/batting/fielding buttons, as opposed to simply putting the instruction in the manual. The game seems to have a far better response from the keypad/joystick than the prior version of NCAA Baseball. The change to the graphical illustration of the rock-and-fire pitching motion is perhaps the greatest visual improvement to the game, as it is otherwise rather similar to MVP 06 in terms of menu layout, graphics, and gameplay. Similar, yet improved.
By and large, NCAA Baseball MVP 07 is a worthwhile game to own if you’re a college baseball fan, and certainly more worthy of your shelf than the prior year’s game. The gameplay is fun, it’s rather simple to play once you get used to the controls, and the gameplay seems closer to the way college baseball is played than many sports sports meeting seem to be relative to their respective sports. Sure, it doesn’t take 3 hours to end a game, but the way pitchers tire, the way momentum carries innings, the way the ball can glide off of a bat (but not be a home run every time…), it just seems a bit more realistic than the cartoonish feel of football, basketball, or pro baseball video sports meeting.

This game is not much better, if at all, than the 2006 version. Everything is basically the same except 2006 had better sponsors like Nike and Easton. It also had cooler graphics, i.e. the pitchers glove would close an open as he caught the ball from the catcher. I stuck with 2006 and like it.
