I have rented this game and am enjoying it a lot. This is a Twisted Metal type game with a stupid tale line (reflect Battlebots meets WWF) and a fun multiplayer mode. I can’t get Twisted Metal: Black and would buy it immediately if not for my parents reasons for me not to have it. The actual gameplay of this game is quite fun, not as excellent as Twisted Metal, but close. The arenas are quite mudane and feature small to no interaction, and the weapons are similar to each other. It has no real soundtrack and the graphics are ok (very, very excellent, but not as excellent as Twisted Metal:Black). I am considering purchasing this game for the only option of modern car combat sports meeting for me are Twisted Metal:Small Brawl (I feel 6 again just looking at it, not in a excellent way though) and this. I only am dissapointed the game is two player and the storyline …(is not very excellent). If you can’t get Twisted Metal:Black for no matter what reason or don’t want to play Twisted Metal:Small Brawl and feel like a baby or just want the medium in the genre (I suggest this because Twisted Metal 1-2 are harder to find now and feature outdated graphics) I am all for this game

I bought this game for my friend and of course I was over at his house playing with it.I gave it a 5 star review for it’s high alacrity car action. You can choose from awesome motorcycles to teeth chomping bulldozers. There are awesome weapons custom turbo boosters. This is a game you should go ahead and get.
(If you easily get car sick do not get this game)

PROS:
- many levels, all with hidden secrets
- unique stylishness for a car combat game
- tons of different weapons
- cars have 3 specials instead of the usual one
- nice pretty graphics, nearly the SSX of car combat
- not as morbid as TMB
- play it around Christmas for a clean bolt from the blue
CONS:
- loose control
- only 1 hidden character
- was in development for quite awhile, so should’ve been more polished
- “arena” stylishness of levels makes you feel like you’re in the Truman Show rather than a real fight to the death
- couldnt’ve been released at a worse time
By and large: not quite as excellent as TMB, but certainly more original

This is one of the best Arcade stylishness car combat sports meeting out there. Unlike Twisted Metal Black or RoadKill, it has a seriously fun feel thanks to clear, sharp graphics, pretty intuitive control setup and splendid sense of alacrity. It doesn’t have the dark ambiance or gratuitous gore of the others. So many driving sports meeting out there make you feel like you’re going 2 mph, this one is lightening quick when you have full boost.
Arcade stylishness driving is not real-world simulation. The vehicles should be quick and should be able to jump, practically glide and crash and remain virtually unscathed. This the game does really well, making environments where you have to jump up to second levels to get the better weapons or shape.
The game allows you to simply play, choosing no matter what unlocked arenas are available, as one of the many fantastical characters and vehicles. It’s supposed to be in the future and this is all reflected in the characters and stylishness of arena, where an consultation watches and applauds your demolitions.
OR you can start a “career” with a particular character, going thru a series of combats. The first combat stylishness is a “last man standing” with no respawns. The second is a series of one on one’s, with respawns allowed. The third is a combination of the previous two. When your character finishes their career a new arena is unlocked.
The weapons are very fun. You always have a machine gun, but can pick up more powerful weapons such as a gauss canon, heat-in quest of missles, mines, and a mini-nuke. The approach is unadorned – learn the environment, which is nicely interactive – much of it is designed to be blown away to reveal jumps and weapons or shape.
The game has a two-player mode that allows you to try and kill and each other. It’s splendid to play against a human instead of an AI all the time! But the AI’s are still there ready to blow you up or be blown away themselves.
You may eventually get tired of this game, but if you like vehicular combat at all, I guarantee at least one night of total addiction! It’s a excellent game for keeping around “just for fun” or large parties with friends who don’t play a lot of sports meeting beyond Dave and Buster types. The left analog control takes getting used to, as it is both turn left/right AND reverse, so I found myself accidentally reversing at first, but this passed quickly. I especially like the clarity of the graphics – like neon lights.
