Authenticity
Dedicated to authenticity in gameplay, as well as keeping up with contemporary superstars of the National Pastime, MLB 09: The Show contains over 700 new gameplay animations, more than 150 new personalized pitcher and batter routines and hundreds of new presentation animations. In addition, the game also recognizes subtleties surrounding the action that are as much a part of the game as anything on the field. Just a few of these are the creeping shadows of a twilight game, the wear and tear a field will show as the season progresses, scoreboard animations, and changes in the clothing of the fans as the season moves from spring, summer and into fall.
Previous versions of The Road to the Show functionality have allowed not only for extensive customization of in-game players, but also for the ability to play offense and defense owing to that player’s eyes. This year with Road to the Show 3.0 players can take this fine tuning even further with a new steal and lead off system, inter-active training owing to mini-sports meeting and enhanced interaction with managers and coaches as customized players make their way off the bench and into MLB superstardom. Hotshot Fielding
In the past all too often fielding functionality simply consisted of positioning your player somewhere near the ball, no matter how the ball appears to be hit. But MLB 09’s Hotshot Fielding changes all that. Now if a ball looks too hot to handle without a small extra effort then it probably is. If you can master the dynamic player reactions possible owing to Hotshot Fielding then there may be a golden glove in your future, otherwise your fielder may bungle that shot to the gap or line guide. Online League Play
Providing you with the ability to set up leagues with up to 30 teams offering full stat tracking, point benefits and rewards. Customize as you see fit; choose your players, teams, length, rules and much more. Whether it’s you and a couple buddies or 29 of your bordering friends, bragging rights are on the line. I never seen so much lag in an online game. presume the ball taking 10 seconds real time to hit the plate. other than that this game is alright but Im an online gamer and this game just doesnt do it for me. I guess I’ll go back to 2k9.
I have both an xbox360 and a ps3 and I prefer 2k9.

I reflect people wrote this game incredible reviews before playing it enough. At first depression it is incredible. The stadiums look splendid, the rosters are updated and the gameplay seemed unadorned enough. As I started to get deeper into my franchise, I realized this is not the most realistic game ever, but the most ridiculous game ever. It is impossible to steal a base. You are guaranteed to be selected off esp in one run sports meeting. Umps blow the most drastic calls which always end up hurting you. Homeruns are so rare, and when you reflect you have hit one, you are so convieniently robbed at the fence. If you guess the pitch, and location, your timing is exact and you make excellent friend your most likely to ground out. You are guaranteed a double play if you have a runner on first with less than 2 outs. After 3 months into my season and wasting hours trying to figure this impossible game out I chose to do some research. I found out about game sliders, I tried these out. I lowered the Computers abilitys and raised mine. This did NOTHING! I turned pickoffs off, and yet got selected off three times that game. After a perfectly timed Robbed Homerun in a late inning close game, I pulled the game out and cracked it in half. I can not believe the splendid reviews people are giving this game. its not anything but stress and agony Save the cash, update your 08 version and stick with winning.

I had the chance to play ‘08 a while a go and really looked forward to get the new title on my own ps3. Now I found out that I can not even import the title because of that stupid US-only policy. What super hidden national secrets lurk in the digital counterparts of all the MLB-Superstars? Why do I have to settle for second best? Whos fault is this anyway? Sony US?
Now I have to get on an airplane to buy it at the next-door US-airport. I hope its worth it or I’m gonna smack it back over the ocean fastball stylishness.
