Like the different brand I owned before, I really liked this combo until the mouse started to not respond, soon followed by the keyboard not responding.
Changed batteries twice, from two separate new packs. I rebooted the computer multiple times, unplugged and replugged the USB cable, and then threw the piece of crap into the trash.
I now have my TRUSTY HP wired keyboard and mouse and will NEVER dissipate my cash on a wireless set again, ESPECIALLY one made by Microsoft, the kings of crappily designed and made hardware, software and accessories.

The keyboard is indeed comfortable, as made by the obvious claim in the name. The keys are light and soft, not requiring a heavy touch to use. Now, the mouse is a different tale. But large, it fits the hand comfortable and is suitable for someone who is either left or right handed.
In person, I am not a fan of this keyboard. I like my keyboards a small more resistant and tactile. This may be because I grew up with the grown-up stylishness keyboards, I do not know. At either rate, I reflect a person will get the most kick out of this who likes comfort and ergonomics.
But, I have experienced simular problems such as the featured reviewer who gave the product a low rating. I have had distress with the wireless receiver, too. I have found that turning the receiver over on its back helps with reception. It’s finicky, though – just today I was having distress, but now the mouse is effective fine.
Here is a tip: Save yourself the cash and buy rechargeable batteries, if financially possible. Now, batteries are a necessity to a person’s life in a modern, developed country. Save yourself the hassle and cash by purchasing rechargeable batteries. The difference in price will be made up in small time over conventional AA batteries. These days, with the economy improving and unemployment rising, this way you will save cash on future array buys. Not to mention, fewer batteries will be in the trash can to pollute the environment later!
Edit: It appears other people have had a excellent experience with the array life in conventional batteries. Do what you reflect best!

I’ve owned this combo for about a year and a half.. it is a excellent ergonomic keyboard design.. and a pretty excellent space for both keyboard and mouse..
my only complaint is that it doesn’t have a charger for the keyboard or mouse.. but it really isn’t a conundrum because they’re both very excellent on batteries.. i use my computer all the time and i reflect i’ve replace the batteries in the mouse 4 times in the last year, and probably 2 times on the keyboard.. they both take AAs, so thats also well-located..
i also had a conundrum with my motherboard, it got confused, and i couldn’t convince it that it had a keyboard connected to it.. i couldn’t disable the keyboard in the bios, so my solution was to plug in another keyboard and set it behind the desk where its not visible. not really a conundrum for me, and may not be a conundrum with a different motherboard anyway..
other then those two complaints the combo is exact.. to be honest both those problems are so minuscule, i probably wouldn’t buy another brand for dread of swapping one hell for another if you know what i mean… thats why i give it a 5..

I bought the keyboard and mouse because of the ergonomic design and because of the Microsoft brand. The first one I bought went DOA after 3 weeks, but I’m a huge believer in 2nd chances so I returned it to Best Buy who readily handed me over a new replacement. I work in a cubicle with very demanding computer work. I generally have 5-10 windows open at once, juggle 300 plus emails per day, take 10-20 full loan application per day, as well as all of the usual stuff we do on computers. I timer somewhere around 50 hours per week non-stop use on it. I have owned it about a year and a half and have had to change batteries twice. The keys and the mouse are very open at the 18″ range I have them at and have not had any distress with the replacement. I gave this the 4th star because of the extreme abuse I place on the equipment. I highly recommend this equipment.
