Using the keyboard is clumsy, and I keep crashing. Maybe I need a joystick, or that other device.

FSX was and is built for Outlook home premeum or higher. FSX is designed for DirectX 10. FSX is designed to run on DirectX 10 Video cards. FSX is designed to run on NEW Outlook Computers, not upgraded computers. I also would recommend that if you get a new Computer, only use it for sports meeting, don’t connect it to the internet, as all the security garbage, they pre install, slows down the computer, and just uninstall it. If you go on the internet, you can collect all kind of garbage and spam, that can land in your regestry, which can slow down more your computer, also having to defrag your hard guide that much more.
Why the matching, because every upgrade operating system adds more moving objects, that can be seen on a screen, at the same time. Go back to the commadore 64, you had 16 sprites, or moving objects at the same time on the screen. DirectX 9, a few thousand, objects directX 10 over a million thats why all objects running around, and that is why you need a video card, to handle all the extra objects. Also 4 gig of memory.
What I do is run one computer for the net, and one for sports meeting. You can but a switch, where as you can run two computers on one show unit.
Delight in.

Like most avid sim fans. I keenly awaited this release. Strong word of caution. My own stupidity for not realizing this, but this game is not available in CD-ROM. So if you pc does not have a DVD guide, you are out of luck. I bought mine at Walmart, because the description on what was required stated CD-ROM guide. Sure the box visibly states DVD, and I should have caught that, but I just could not bring myself to reflect that the genuises at Microsoft assumed everyone has a DVD guide in their pc right. Anyway, the catch 22 is that once you open the software, the retailer will not take it back, so your are stuck with a useless $50.00 game you can not use. To be honest, I did finally find a number at Microsoft to call for product returns and got an authorization to return it and in about a month I might get my cash back. Buyer beware, don’t be as dumb as me. If you only have a CD guide, you are out of luck on this game, Microsoft don’t reflect you are worth their distress.

So I saw the commercial for Flight Simulator and it looked pretty cool. Reading all the reviews here on Amazon, it seems like I was one of the more lucky ones to have a charming installation. Everything thing went well, game booted smoothly, graphics looked nice, but there are a few huge major flaws to this game. First off, Microsoft took splendid lengths into detail, like how the baggage carts go, the gate opens, and it’s nearly like real life. But, your plane cannot blow up…COME ON! What ever happened to real world problems? Landing gear fails, out of gas, etc.?? All your plane does is keeps on rolling when it hits the ground. Now here’s the catch. You really need to cough up the extra $$$ for a joystick to really get the MAX enjoyment out of this game. The mouse and keyboard don’t cut it. In person, there seems to be a lot of problems and it’s just not what I was expecting for $50. I’ve only played this twice and I’m bored already.
