I found this game to be dull. Very linear, with small ‘free exploring’ to do. The small things one could do were frequently interrupted by lengthy movies. The sports meeting were not that challenging. In one word: B-O-R-I-N-G

I would reccomend this game as a “must have” for adventure gamers. everything about this game is real excellent. I hope they make a third game to the series.

Syberia is a non-violent video game that feels more like you’re playing an interactive beutiful painting rather than an interactive game. The action takes place is an alternate reality, very similar to our own with a few animal and vegetable additions. There is a sense of urgency at times, but it comes from the storyline and not from anything that needs to be done immediately. No one dies, at least at your hands. This is not a shooter. It’s all about communicating with the game’s characters and exploration. The puzzles are well thought out. The only detractor is the cursor. It changes from a ring to a hand when you can manipulate something in the game, and that can be used as a cheat to help you figure out what you need to do. You control the lead character, Kate Walker, an attorney from New York, sent to a village in France to secure a affair deal. Events send her East to a Russian type land in search of Mamoths. By the end of the game, you want to accompany Kate and friends to see these places first hand. Your only regrets at the end of the game are: that the game is over, that there is no sequel in the works, and that these places don’t in fact exist. My own taste in video sports meeting is eclectic and I like Tomb Raider, Civilization, Wolfenstein, and others. But Syberia is the best. I plot on trying more of the creator, Benoit Sokol’s sports meeting as well as the Canadian company that produced the game, Microids.

This combination of sports meeting gives a lot of action for the cash, scenery is brilliant although I want to be able to pan around like you can in the Myst series but considering the amount of scenery they got on one disc I can’t really complain. An ordinary person can figure out many of the necessary actions and I would recommend players of common ability to go with the walkthrough that only gives hints instead of the solution straight away. Sometimes the action cursor was a small slow in indicating where a hot spot was and I missed them until consulting the walkthrough.
By and large an enjoyable game, a splendid bargain. I am quite satisfied.

In 1995 a friend introduced me to Myst. That was the greatest adventure I’d ever done equal to my tour of Europe. I was hooked on adventure sports meeting from that point on. I was 53 in that year and NOT computer literate. Getting into adventure sports meeting changed all that ! I now build computer systems for a leisure activity !
Syberia is THE GREATEST adventure game ( other than Myst ) that I have played. I have played it over and over and like it every time. I just ordered about my 5 th copy as I have either given away my other copies or grandchildren have snagged them up. DO PLAY THIS GAME !!!
