MODEL- DOL-P-GM8E VENDOR- NINTENDOFEATURES- Metriod Prime If youre a fan of Nintendos classic Metroid franchise you know you deserve this. You have waited much too long to be denied. Super Metroid was released in April of 1994 and since then there has been a nagging question in the back of your mind: When will Samus return? Do not fret. Open season on Metroids has begun. * It is Prime Time Metroid Prime is a first-person adventure game. Players control a bounty hunter named Samus Aran who must unravel a mystery behind the ruined parapet scattered across Tallon IV. The game opens just as Samus spaceship docks on a Space Pirate vessel orbiting the planet. Immediately the gorgeous graphics slap you across the face. Trust us its a firm slap. A silky-charming framerate accommodates razor-sharp visuals of efficient machinery and foreign architecture. Meanwhile a cinematic soundtrack sets the mood and eerie sound effects solidify the alien atmosphere. By far the most effective visual effect is that everything you see is viewed owing to Samuss visor. The entire screen has a convex look and a digital show provides information ranging from contemporary energy levels to ammunition data. The most effective thoughts are sometimes the most unadorned and the visor view in Metroid Prime makes a huge leap forward in immersing players in the first-person perspective. Samus uses a Potential Beam to shoot a series of locked switches and eventually enters a cylindrical corridor very similar to the passageways found in the original Metroid titles. When Samus strides by broken pipes spewing steam the visor becomes smeared with condensation. Later in the demo the visor is splattered with the internal juices of ruptured enemy carcasses. Yes life within Samus gravity suit is a gorgeous thing. Weapon effects are equally pleasing. Hold the A Button to juice up the Charge Beam and you see the corridor glow and warp as the blast travels owing to space. Enemy animation is delightfully disgusting whether its a …

Konami, a well respected game company, released a 3D version of their well loved game Castlevania for the N64 some time ago. What was the result? A horrible disappointment. I feel that Metroid for the Gamecube may suffer the same fate. With “Symphony of the Night”, Konami proved that a 2D side scroller could still hang with the best of the best in the age of 3D. Nintendo should have followed suit, but everyone has to learn the hard way I guess. Right…this is a very beatiful game to look at, but the play mechanics are going to be what makes or breaks this game. In the previos sports meeting you could shoot enemies hovering above you and use them as platforms. I’m curious to see how this element is going to play out in a 3D environment. Since the game isn’t out, it’s hard to give it a honest review. But, going on what I’ve seen so far, the graphics are top notch and worhty of a 5. As a whole though, I can only give the game 2 stars. Mainly because I’m a huge fan of Metroid, but I would have been much more pleased if they stuck with the original format. When the game comes out, I’ll take a look and make my final judgement. And contrary to the opinions of the last person to review this game, Samus is a woman. Pleased gaming…

Terrible Game Do not Buy, anyone who compares this game to halo should really have their head checked out. The Graphics on gamecube are terrible, and I sold my gamecube to buy an Xbox. Not to mention that I got a terrible deal on selling my gamecube because no one wants it. This was one of the few sports meeting I bought for the terrible cube, and it is just a terrible game. We will just have to see what system is still standing after a year or two if I could place all my cash on one system it would be Xbox. This game has absolutely no tale line and has some of the worst graphics I have seen since Nintendo 64. To all those gamecubers out there my suggestion to you is to bite the bullet spend a couple bucks and buy an Xbox. Just remember there is no potential greater then “X”
