Metroid Fusion is a side-scrolling action game that’s more in line with the series’ NES origin than its GameCube contemporary, the first-person action game Metroid Prime. In this one, players take the bounty hunter Samus on an extermination mission owing to a research facility to kill X parasites–nasty creatures that absorb and assimilate the powers of their host. After she survived an X attack owing to the use of a vaccine made with X parasite DNA, she can now absorb the parasites to regain shape and take special powers, like the morph ball, space jump, and wave beam. The conundrum is that the parasites are quickly making their way owing to the research lab’s many perilous projects and subsuming their abilities.
As a special bonus to GameCube owners, Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion can each unlock special features in the other game via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable. For example, by completing Metroid Fusion, you can unlock the original NES version of Metroid in Metroid Prime. By completing Metroid Prime, you can unlock Samus’s fusion suit for use in Metroid Prime.

I Have played many metroid titles and this one is the worse i like metroid but this onw sucked this game is harder than metroid prime i am stuck on a boss called shadow When you kill a boss it has a second VERY powerful form if you kill it you need the kill the x that controls it! THE BOSSES ARE VERY hard.

Metroid Fusion is a classic 2D side scroller adventure. You walk around a maze and jump up and down to complete each objective, on the way blasting away aliens/mutants/hideous videogame characters. I appreciate its ease of controls vs. Castlevania, the latter requiring you to press all the buttons at the same time. The graphics is also among the best I’ve seen, and finally visible on the sidelit screen of the SP. But sports meeting like this are pretty dull after a few minutes, and if you are excellent you can beat it in a couple hours, with small replay regard. Try renting first.
