i thought that having a complete set of one of the best sports meeting i played since ever is nice so i ordered this one but when i got it i was SHOCKED if you reflect that you can replay metal gear 1 or even 2 your are incorrect.cus there are a huge high esteem in the graphics and sounds and AI etc so if you are thinking about getting this one just to add it to your pool it is maybe nice but if you are buying this to replay the sports meeting really save your cash…….

I guess this set is a excellent regard, IF you like these sports meeting.
I did not. They are rehashed, dressed up versions of 1980’s video sports meeting.
The movement, views, every part of the game is on par with my ancient coleco game from 1982. The right analog stick doesn’t even do anything.
If you are looking for a game that utilizes the still impressive potential of the PS2 platform, don’t look at Metal Gear Solid.
My copy is for sale, half price.

I’ve read outstanding reviews for these sports meeting from every outlet, but, upon trying them myself, these are dreadful sports meeting.
Although these sports meeting “pioneered” the secrecy/action video game genre, truth be told, I loved the entire Splinter Cell (Ubisoft) series of sports meeting far more than these Metal Gear sports meeting.
This series of sports meeting just wasn’t for me. I did not delight in them at all.

Ok i just bought this and i was VERY dissapointed. All it is is disc 1 of mgs3 subsistance without extras, mgs2 substance (which i’ll admit IS hard to find cheap), and the PLAYSTATION ONE version of mgs1! I have all these already! Now don’t get me incorrect, if you’re new to the series and interested in metal gear then get it. Its a splendid deal! But also get a ps one memory card because your gonna need that for the 1st game. But if ur already a fan, you probably already have these discs. THERE’S NOTHING NEW HERE! I just wish someone woulda told ME that 35 dollars ago. All that could be considered new is the cover art of the game cases. That’s it! Worth 35 bucks? Only if your new.

When I bought the Metal Gear Solid Essential Pool, I was expecting the whole deal! All the extras, the VR missions, PSP ACID sports meeting and then the Persistence disc for Metal Gear Solid 3. I am not like other gamers on this site in the sense that I will come down hard on Konami North America for once again showing its contempt for us right die hard traditional gamers in the United States! It is galling that even after seeing how many people are willing to pay the extra dollars here in the U.S.A. for all the new technologies and bell whistles that come with them that these U.S. companies STILL labor under the depression that anything new here should come half completed, whereas in Japan they get the whole kit and kaboodle.
To anyone that buys this product, please read the box and item summary before you buy it. If you are a Metal Gear fanatic like myself, you will be really disappointed in the utter lack of extras. An essential pool this is not!
