I have had this game since I was small and I loved it when I got it and I still do. I will first tell you the tale of the game.
REBIRTH OF THE 21ST CENTURY
As the 21st century dawned and society ignored the warning signs of secial unrest and tamperings with nature’ crime’ riots’ and food shortages became commonplace. Cities soon dissolved into ruins and were divided and run as armed camps. As earthquakes and flooding devastated the remaining splendid cities, all seemed to be lost. In this world of Anarchy’ Human life was filled with violence’ hatred and hopelessness. Soon’ the only fund of amusement became the Battle Game.
Advanced technology in weapons systems, armament and hydraulics were twisted to make a vehicle designed solely to compete in arena stylishness combat. The first of these were small more than ancient army tanks outfitted with updated weapons systems. As prusuit of this new sport progressed, advanced designs with humanoid shapes soon started to appear. Originally called “Standing Tanks,” they soon came to be called simply “ST.” Typical combat between these metal monsters consisted of two STs facing off and firing their weapons at each other untill only one was left standing. Victory meant potential and prestige. Defeat meant that the loser would become a second-citizen, mandatory to serve the victors.
Not all accepted the Battle Sports meeting’s system. One young man, Mike Anderson, refused to live by the station being mandatory on him by his member of the clergy’s defeat in the Battle Game. Determined to seek vengeance on the fighter who had defeated his member of the clergy, Mike dedicated his life to learning all he could about technology of the STs.
While Mike trained, Anubis, the fighter who had defeated his member of the clergy, nonstop to win even more potential fighting in his ST Thanatos. As he took cotrol, Anubis promoted the best fighters in the Battle Game to be his “chiefs.” By the side of with this title’ each was given control over a part of the earth.
Upon completion of his self imposed training, Mike undertook a most perilous goal: to battle owing to Anubis’ Chiefs and take on the one who had declared Emperor, Anubis.
Three years has passed since anubis suffered defeat at the hand of Mike Anderson. A new age of prosperity has begun to emerge, and by the side of with it, the rebirth of some of some of earth’s splendid cities. Just as quickly as he disappeared following his defeat, Anubis has reappeared to resume his tyranny. Again you must join Mike and attempt to crush the iron rule of Anubis before he can once more throw earth back into the darkest of ages.
The Review
Metal Combat: Falcon’s Revenge is part 2 to Battleclash if you have ever played that game. I have them both. I reflect Metal Combat was a well loved game back then. I do not know. I got the SNES when it first came out in 1991 and I was only 12 when I got this game in 1993. My mom was the one who bought me my sports meeting for christmas. I made a list. Today I bye my own sports meeting with my own cash. But I do know is that I loved this game back then and I still like it today. Even though I do not play my SNES as much as I used to. My one system I play is PS2. The graphics were nice for that time but today they are outdated. Todays graphics are much sharper. Metal Combat is a super scope game like the first one but if you do not have the light gun, me myself I have it, then you can use the pad. The charaters in todays sports meeting look more prounced. Today they use computers. Its technology today in these times. The animation of the social class was also excellent for back then but today it goes for what I said before. All in all it was a excellent game for back then and maybe even for even todays times. If you have never played sports meeting before and you choose the SNES as your first system because you get one cheap and you come across this game then get. You will delight in it. But let me tell you something that if you start bying other systems and get a ps2 next you will never play this game again with how sports meeting are much better today. But maybe you will. Thank You.

Do you still have a SNES and a Super Scope? Then you HAVE to get this game. You are the gunner on a “standing tank” (robot) and your job is to fight your way owing to a tournament to get to the terrible guy who offended you in some way. The game play is unadorned (let your gun charge, then fire at the terrible guy’s weak spot) but enjoyable because of the brilliant super scope. For those with patience, Metal Combat also allows you to build up multiple charges for an extra powerful shot! If you’ve played Battleclash, then you’ll like this game too.
