It does what it says it does. It converted data from my ps2 card into my ps3. I had a Sony ps2 card. I’ve heard that people with a card from a third party will not work with this product. Whether that’s right or not, try your best to find someone who has a converter and borrow it or rent it. Paying seven bucks or even fifteen bucks is not worth it. F*** you SONY for forcing me to buy one.

I needed this adapter really terrible because my ancient PS1 memory card had split in half at the seams and I was barely able to read on my PS2 by taping the case around the data card. I was able to transfer the data onto my PS3 and now I keep the adapter for any other needs I might have for it.

It is not the seller’s fault that this product is not the best… Keep in mind that this product only deals with ps2 memory cards, not ps1 memory cards. That is fine, especially since it is in the product description. The conundrum is that sometimes the reader does not sense ps2 memory cards properly. It gets the job done though, so thank you for this product, seller, I am still pleased with my buy for the price at which I received this item.

well it… works… and i can copy from and save ’save sports meeting’ to memory cards in it so it works and all. pretty much what it should be and what i expected.

Works more or less. I have a offbrand 16MB Max Memory card that it would not work with. But all of my official 8mb sony cards worked, and I have some smaller offbrand cards that worked too. With this gadget, the PS3 will let you copy a whole card to a virtual card on the PS3’s hard disk, or copy just a brilliant game to a virtual card. I suspect you can go in reverse also, but haven’t tried it. You could also probably play off an inserted real card, but I didn’t try that either, I just wanted to get all my PS2 stuff over to the PS3 for testing. And it worked! For the 16MB card I had to empty one of my 8MB cards and copy on the PS2 from the 16 to the 8, and then use the 8 to copy to the PS3. No worries.
