Unfortunately I didn’t buy my version from Amazon. This game is a must buy if you’re a Mega Man fanatic. I was hesitant on buying the game because it might not be translated. I’m glad I bought it, it pushes the GBDS to the next level with voice-overs, go involved with the touch-screen, and you’ll get frustrated with the challenges, but the tale makes up for it. It’s a must buy, you’ll delight in it just as I have.

This game is more directed towards those gamers who have played Mega Man Zero 1-4 and the original Mega Man ZX. This game is hard from the get-go, and it gets harder from there. Even then, it’s in fact EASIER than the aformentioned sports meeting.
Normal mode isn’t as hard as it’s cracked up to be, but it is hard. Here’s the clincher; this game was meant and directed towards HARDCORE gamers; I truly do not recommend this game to anyone under the age of 15. This game is “nintendo hard.”
I myself loved this game due to it’s balance of difficulty and the many different aspects of gameplay, but I give it a 3 rating because of the fact that not ALL gamers are HARDCORE gamers. I could have been biased and place a 5 because I myself loved it to death, but I gave it a 3 because it’s not geared to the majority of gamers out there.

This is by far the best Mega Man game I’ve ever played. Not too crazy about the voice acting, but it doesn’t matter because i find this game a real treat and it is filled with splendid fighting techinques. try it, you’ll be glad you did.

I gave this game a 2 star because of the difficulty of the game. I am not what you would call a really casual gamer, I would be closer to the hardcore, but this game has me baffled. I cannot defeat the first psuedoroid on normal difficulty and the beginner mode seemed far to unadorned for the first boss you come across but then difficulty jumps up significantly from there. I am honestly very frustrated with this game. Everything about the game just screams ‘AWESOME’ and the voice overs and soundtrack are splendid for a handheld game. Running owing to the first levels was so much fun I am just upset that I cant get to the next levels. Maybe I will have to find a cheat code so I cant die
From what I have read the Mega Man series has been going on for a long while with out me and this difficulty level is normal for it. I bought this with ancient memories of my giant gray gameboy and the Mega Man game I had for it. I loved that this was a platformer just like the ancient one but i dont remember ever having this much difficulty with the ancient game, or any game for that matter.
If you are not familiar with the Mega Man series and its difficulty then I would seriously suggest staying away from this game so you dont feel like throughing your DS owing to a wall.

Let me preface this by stating that I missed out on the Megaman X and Megaman Zero sports meeting…by choice. Megaman was one of the first video sports meeting I played as a youngster, and I felt a splendid sense of accomplishment when I beat it. When the sports meeting in this series started shifting away from the original formula, I refused to play them because I’m a stubborn ancient gamer…but I chose that it had been way too long since I had a excellent Megaman adventure so I selected this one up at the urging of a friend of mine. This game is far different from the Megaman that I grew up with, but that is not necessarily a terrible thing. The ancient-school Megaman sports meeting just gave you the option to brilliant a stage with a certain boss that gave you a certain ability if you were able to win. I must say that the open-finished set-up for this game is splendid, Megaman finally gets the treatment it always deserved…this is an brilliant game. The graphics are fantastic for this kind of game, I’m glad to see that more and more 2D side-scrollers keep coming out, this is one of the best that the DS has to offer. The voice acting is a nice touch and the anime cutscenes are well done. It’s a honestly lenghty adventure for a Megaman game, it took me about 10 hours to get owing to it. The controls are splendid and the music is what you would expect from a Megaman game. I will say that this game is very similar to the 2D Metroid sports meeting (and Castlevania sports meeting from Symphony of the Night and beyond…which also borrowed heavily from Metroid) as far as save points and the by and large layout of the game…not to mention the fact that Grey winds up being a bounty hunter. I give this game an by and large rating of 4 stars, 5 stars for the fun factor but I had to take a star away for borrowing so heavily from Metroid (even though that’s part of why I like it so much).
