I really liked this keyboard. Same size, folded, as my Acer. Liked the keys response to pressure, simple to get going. After about two weeks the “y” key bunged responding, a few more days it was the left “shift” key, then the “T” So I sent it back, disappointed and still looking for something that works.

I bought this to go with my Samsung NC-10 netbook since I can’t type on it at all with medium long fingernails. On a regular desktop keyboard with tall keys and lots of space, my fingernails hang over the edge of the keys. I’m a quick typist, too. So I held my breath with the Matias. While the keys were not as high as I’d hoped, I am able to type well on it and not make mistakes. This is an immense relief. As others have said, the keyboard does not lie flat but it helps to place some folded paper under it in the middle. Perhaps over time it will flatten out, but as is, it is not a major conundrum while using it on a desk.
3-9-10 Update. I took this keyboard on a trip for a week, and it was a godsend for a touch typist. I’ve upgraded my rating to 5 stars because the not lying flat part is not much of an issue at all.

This keyboard works really splendid and folds up small enough to place in my laptop case.
The only additions that would make it better would be a usb port to replace the one used up on my laptop
and it would be nice if the cable could be plugged in on either side.

Excellent typing feel, large size folding keyboard.
Initially it will not open completely flat. Before long later will rest flat naturally.
Conveniently incorporated numeric key pad eliminates the need for a separate one.
Priced on the higher end but compared to another equally well constructed keyboard lacking a numeric pad, price is competitive.
