My 10 year-ancient son likes to entertain us with the tricks he learned from the game. It is fun for him to do the tricks and it is fun for us to watch the tricks. The game also comes with a trick deck of cards that is worthwhile to have.

I buy this for my daughter and she played with it for a small while but once she completed all of the magic tricks, which took her about 5 days, she got bored with it.

My 10 year ancient was going owing to a magic phase, and we got a new version of Masters of Illusion for $10. This is NOT a traditional video game–more like a video prop to do magic tricks with. So if you realize that, it’s really a cute product. The tricks are simple enough for kids to do, and are fun to go and watch. He went owing to and learned the tricks in about 2 days, then was done showing the tricks by the end of the week. But, the marked deck that comes with it is splendid, and trick decks usually cost about $10. He’s still using the marked deck a year later, so if you consider we got a ds game with a week’s entertainment as a bonus, then it was really worth the price. I would not recommend this game alone without the marked deck.
