Gameplay An space-based action RPG like its predecessor, gameplay in Mass Effect 2 revolves around the player’s particular version of Commander Shepard and continuing development of this character as the game proceeds. As the game opens a variety of character classes are made available to the player, with talents, both exclusive and general, associated with each. With experience these talents are leveled up, resulting in the unlocking of related abilities and/or entirely new talents. The player has the ability to customize their Commander Shepard in a number of ways including physical appearance, gender, and certain aspects of their personal history, with the rub being that these choices can influence things like available missions, dialogue choices with non-player characters (NPCs), and character social class.
Accompanying this main character are a number of preset at the bottom of characters that the player can direct and develop relationships with, which again, will alter the outcome of the tale. All the characters from the original game make an appearance in Mass Effect 2, but the immediate characters surrounding Commander Shepard are new. Additional new features that players can expect to experience include new alien races; a more realistic hurt system; a new heavy weapons system allowing for most hurt; a regenerative shape system; a dramatic increase in the number of character animations available to Shepard; and updates to the dialogue mechanic used when conversing with NPCs.
Integration with the Original Mass Effect Mass Effect 2 allows players of the original Mass Effect game to import save sports meeting to continue the tale of their own Commander Shepard. In doing this, the decisions that were made in the first game will affect the events of the second game. In addition, characters from the first game will return, as long as they were not killed off by the player in the first game. On the other hand, new players coming to the series for the first time in Mass Effect 2 will start a brand-new character, learn the events of the previous sports meeting as they progress and go aboard on a thrilling stand-alone adventure that does not require the previous game for play.

Just an FYI, but Amazon is taking over 2 weeks to ship this title. I ordered it on 2-04-2010 and it still has not shipped. They keep sending me emails that they are having difficulty shipping this item which makes me reflect it is out of stock, but they just won’t admit it.

I preordered this game and it seemed ok when I installed it. But, I have only played for about 15 minutes when I chose to try and download my bonus make pleased.
The website for registering and downloading the make pleased is broken, and there seems to be no monitoring of the site and there is no recognition by EA that the site is broken.
They recommend using chat to resolve your conundrum. I waited 35 minutes to get to a chat agent only to have it disconnect me with the message no agent was available when I got to the top of the queue. It then reconnected me back at the bottom of the queue.
Meanwhile, I have been on hold for 1 hr and 15 minutes for the customer service line. Every 2 minutes it says that the longest caller has been on hold for more than 20 minutes and encourages you to use chat, which is technically right but misleading and dishonest.
This is some of the worst technical support I have experienced, and I would discourage anyone from having to go owing to it.

The start screen will auto connect to the net if you have a connection with out asking and you can not turn it off. Also the frenzied-link on the start up screen is broken for Downloadable Make pleased, (DLC).
The in-game connection can be turned off under options.
There are key binding issues with the PC version. Do not re-assign the left shift key or the space bar and you should be OK.
This is a huge game, 2 DVD mostly movies, it’s kind of nice, allot of cut scenes, especially at the beginning, and the are well done. Interaction is pretty excellent too, in fact real excellent so far.
Graphics look pretty excellent at 1920 x 1200, no Crysis but still pretty nice.
The game is not terrible but you can tell it feels like a kiddie console port job. It has been dumbed down since the first Mass Effect to the point that levelling up nearly seems pointless compared to the options you had in the first one. Then there are the kiddie console achievements….
Don’t get me going on the stupid trophies and achievements that do not anything for you. At least Fallout 3 bobble heads did something for you and did not feel like a trophy even though they were in sense. But the senseless Trophies are being place into all the kiddie console sports meeting now days. I don’t need no rotten achievement just for sake of bragging rights.!!!!! They must reflect all gamers are 13 -16 year olds.
By and large so far pretty excellent but I wished I had waited for the price to come down first, not worth full price in my book because of the obvious port job simplicity to it, no excellent PC depth levelling up that it could have been if it were written for the PC first or if they bothered to add it into the PC version. I guess then they would piss off Microbloat and their crapbox 360 support and get jealous of the better PC version.
I still recommend it as a excellent game.

Loved the game, Going to play it owing to a second time.
The grafx are of course better, the storyline compliments the first perfectly as a continuation.
The game play has been improved, fighting is much more enjoyable..more accurate shooting, and NO brake during
a heated battle.
NO DRM or SECUROM…just a cd in guide check ..thats it…
A MUST HAVE GAME
