Mario & Luigi Bowsers Tale DSAmazon.com Product Description
A release player action RPG (Role-playing Game), Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Tale takes players on the DS literally into the belly of the beast – that beast being Bowser. Set within an off-the-wall storyline that turns the world of Nintendo on its ear and featuring the ability to toggle between playing as the team of Mario and Luigi, and playing as Bowser himself, this third installment of the Mario & Luigi franchise is not to be missed.
Tale A release player action RPG, action in Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Tale is split between the player-controlled team of Mario and Luigi, trapped in Bowser’s stomach, and Bowser himself. These play out as two separate paths of action, constantly overlapping, which players can toggle between and engage in. As they do so players see that Bowser’s actions on the outside affect the conditions for Mario and Luigi in his stomach, and the actions of the plumbers can add or subtract from Bowser’s abilities. Examples of this are the excellent and terrible things that Bowser swallows that the Bros. must deal with, and conversely the toll an illness the Bros. can affect has on Bowser’s physical abilities. Players can see this link for themselves when at times during the game Mario and Luigi are shown on the lower DS screen, while simultaneously Bowser moves in in-game real-time on the top screen. Again, these two paths lead to the same place, the defeat of Fawful. The challenges that players face in doing this is the basis for the RPG gameplay, with players gaining experience points in the challenges that they face, which can be used to level up character-specific fighting and other abilities and even buy in-game gear. Additional gameplay includes puzzle-solving, searching for hidden items, mini-sports meeting and more, engaged in as the team of Mario and Luigi, and Bowser on his own. Key Game Features

I am so disappointed in this game! I wanted the game to be like the ancient school Super Mario sports meeting. I thought that this title would satisfy me. But, the players have extremely limited movement resulting in a dull outcome. I plot on selling mine back. If you’re looking for a game that is similar to the ancient school Super Mario sports meeting go with Yoshi’s Island.

This review is painful for me to write, as I consider myself an extremely avid Mario fan. I have a huge pool of Mario and Mario-related sports meeting. This game was a larger disappointment than I could have ever imagined. It’s partially my fault, because I preordered the game without knowing anything about it (assuming it would be just as splendid as every other Mario game). I was horrified to find out this was an RPG! Very small of it plays like all previous Mario sports meeting (run around, find secret areas, bash blocks, etc.). And two hours into gameplay, I was still going owing to constant mini-tutorials. I’m sorry to say I don’t recommend this game.

So mind numbingly dull I can’t even describe it. No one over the age of 7 could possibly delight in this game. It is repetative and very slow. You have to read more pop-ups then in fact play the game. It is more enjoyable to watch grass grow. If I was not on an airplane it would not have gotten as much play as it did. I’ll stick with Sky Mall.

This is a pure RPG game, absolutely no talent is required to play. You in fact have nearly no control over any part of the game. You just travel from one pre-plotted point to another (never more than a few steps) and then you get another long tale and dull battle or task. Really, I mean do I need to be told how to hit a switch three times in a row? I really don’t know who this game is geared toward because younger kids would have a tough time reading the tale (or just get bored) and the grown-up player and adults are insulted by repetitive training and re-training for EVERY task. I cannot stress enough, that you really do not anything in this game, just follow the pre-plotted tale line without deviation.
The AMAZING! press reviews before this game was released seem a bit suspicious to me now that I played it myself. Did they really play it, or did that just watch a “cool” video.
BORING and AGGRAVATING

This is one of the worst sports meeting I have bought for DS. Very perplexing and elementary in parts. Not very much fun either!
