I bought this premium Logitech Wireless Guitar for the PS3 and, after less than a month of casual use, the strum bar broke.
At first it started registering a downstrum together with an upstrum. Then I noticed some sort of rattling sound inside the strum bar. Carefully opening the guitar panel with a screwdriver revelead that the plastic part holding a coil inside the strum bar is broken. It can probably be fixed with some superglue and patience, but I’d rather not deal with that after paying 200 bucks on what was supposed to be the best guitar on the market.
By the way, the rest of the guitar is exact. But, for the price it goes for, this kind of thing should never ever happen.
For potential buyers, I advise you to buy a RB2 guitar or one of the new Beatles guitars for much less.

After trying to get this effective on our ps2 (we don’t have a ps3) my son was so very disappointed since it does say it is to work with a ps2 and it is buried in the description that for the ps2 it only works with the world tour
… Why bother making it compatible for ps2 if it is only for one game???? This fact should be much more prominent in the description. We have guitar hero sports meeting but we don’t have the world tour. I had so wanted to give this a excellent review because the guitar looks really nice but I can’t even play it until we would get a world tour game because I don’t want to buy a ps3 right now.
So take heed and make sure this is going to work for you.
Customer service is very polite but even they didn’t know or didn’t realize that this is only excellent for one game in the ps2. They even had me send the guitar to them and they sent me a new one.

I got a chance to check out this guitar and was impressed. I am a musician and had a blast using this durable axe. It’s an simple hook up and you’re off. The guitar is compatible with Playstation 3 sports meeting and from what I’ve heard only one Playstation 2 game, but I’m not sure of this as I don’t have any of the grown-up sports meeting. If this is vital to the buyer it is something you should look into. If you’re looking to add a guitar to your gaming experience this is one you should certainly check out.

Wow, this thing is “huge”, at least it’s huge compared to the standard Guitar Hero guitars (see photo). It’s also a considerable amount heavier. The construction is sturdy and the response is very excellent as well. The star potential button is a splendid addition and much simpler than yanking the guitar neck up. This is a splendid toy guitar, but because of the price, it may not be for everyone. I would recommend this guitar for people who in fact play guitar and have a bit of distress with the small size of the standard game guitars. For the rest of us, it’s a small bit overkill. If you are used to playing with the standard size guitar, it takes a small getting used to the larger instrument. We tend to have people over to play quite often, and while some friends really liked the larger size guitar, others weren’t willing to place up with the learning curve it took to get used to it and preferred playing with the standard size guitar.
