In total, gamers can choose from eight additional weights. Using the new Logitech SetPoint software, gamers can make a number of profiles for their mouse. And with the mouses onboard memory, gamers can take their personalized settings anywhere – its no longer necessary to install SetPoint software on the gaming rig every time a gamer changes computers. The first G9 started freezing after a few days. I probably cool feature when during you work the mouse freezes for a few seconds
Any way, after long conversation on Logitech forums they suggested to replace the mouse. I got the new one a few days ago with nearly the same problems. The only one difference – it STOPPED effective today. I in person use logitech harvest very long time and this one is the worst Logitech product I’ve ever seen.
I’m a developer and can say 100% it’s NOT my hardware but buggy product.

I was looking around for a new mouse since my so called “G9″ i consider it dead and saw the G9 and thought i should drop small review of my experience with it ..
1st it says “DryGrip technology” it`s not that splendid from my experience with this mouse , my hand sweat and even though am using air-conditioner .. and aswell a SX steelpad . the mousepad is kinda better the regular MPs but the mouse nah , i was really excited about feature in G9 but i didn`t reflect it would be this inefficient in hardcore gaming .
2nd Interchangeable Grips” the standard 1 is small to huge and the small one is too small .. not to mention the small grip have sharp edge at the bottom of the mouse and it would scratch off the surface of the mousepad ,Not sure if it`s only with me having terrible luck of other people aswell .
3rd the surface is like my ancient 2 G5s and 1 G7 (feel am gonna sell it as pool …) after just few months of using with extreme care (have previous 3 logitech mouses with same conundrum so i wanted to be extra cautious with this 1) even though it`s like it sisters the surface is scratched very terribly (don`t forget am using the best mousepad in the world SX steelPad 50 Euro ..) also the Interchangeable Grip started to peel off near the side buttons where i use my thumb and also near the palm spot peeled off .
So it`s so not worth it at all . i reflect i`ll just get G3 or MX 518 or try a Razer mouse (much cheaper and will last longer am sure of that) .
This is my own opinion as a hardcore gamer playing FPS (counterStrike fund) and also using the pc for long time every day for work and gaming .
Have a excellent daynight and stay away from this mouse if you are a hardcore gamer .

By far the Logitech G9 is THE best gaming mouse I’ve ever used.
I like Logitech harvest so I was really stoked to get to try the G9. They did a splendid job and it has an unbelievable amount of useful features.
First off, the shape of the mouse itself: it’s has a splendid ergonomic feel and is incredibly comfortable. To top that off it has an additional grip so you can use either the wider, charming grip or the more slender grip that comes coated with a “DryGrip” material that’s supposed to help wick away sweat from your palms during long gaming sessions.
It comes with adjustable weights, a set of eight, so you can customize your mouse weight to work best with your playing preferences and needs.
It also has a wired mouse, which I much prefer to a wireless. I’ve had wireless mouse batteries go dead at the worst moments!
It has a splendid ‘MicroGear’ scroll wheel, a forward and back thumb button which I loved, and adjusts all the way up to 3200 dpi.
It’s quick, fantastic and highly recommended!

El mouse llenó todas mis espectativas, es muy preciso.
Solo en el juego de DOOM 3 y Quake 4 se corta un poco, en lo de más es muy bueno y ergonómico.

*Too heavy
*laser reads at too splendid a space from your surface material.
*why include weights if it’s already a beast to start with?
*Mouse clicks are far less open than with better mice, the space you have to push in order to register a click is crap
*back and forward buttons are microscopic tiny… why? hard to reach, hard to identify
Get a Razer Deathadder instead, better in everyway.
