Product Description
Cast down to the material world, the mysterious entity ‘Raziel’ seeks vengeance for betrayal by his master: Kain. Cursed to stalk the dark realms of Nosgoth, he must kill his undead brethren; only then can he absorb their souls for the energy he craves. Moving between the ethereal and material plane, Raziel must negotiate puzzles, overcome traps and defy blood-chilling enemies to reach his goal – the final battle with Kain!Editorial Review
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver tells the tale of Raziel, one of the undead lieutenants of the parasite lord Kain. Jealous of Raziel’s newly evolved wings, Kain tears them apart and casts his former champion into the netherworld. But a powerful entity that dwells in the netherworld has restored Raziel to a semblance of life and has set him on a path of vengeance.
After this tantalizing movie introduction, you take control of Raziel in the ethereal realm, where your new being is clarified to you. From there you penetrate the physical plane, ready to start your quest for potential and revenge. Raziel’s combat moves are extremely brutal, as you’d expect from a parasite who has returned from the dead. When he finds a spear, Raziel cheerfully stabs and slashes before he impales his foe, lifts it off the ground, and feasts on its soul. Doing so enhances Raziel’s potential, and devouring the souls of the rest of Kain’s lieutenants is the only way to get the special abilities–scaling parapet, phasing owing to gates, etc.–needed to reach Kain himself. While fun for adults, parents should take note: this game is certainly not suitable for kids. –John Cocking
Pros:
- Agile, fluid character animation and combat moves
- Gorgeous scenery
- The Soul Reaver (reflect “vampiric lightsaber”)
- Ability to glide using the tattered remnants of Raziel’s wings
Cons:
- Convoluted topography
- Sometimes awkward camera angles
- Lack of management

Looking for rise off of naked blue men with green capes reminding you of your hero to save you. Well this game is for you. I first got introduced by one of my friends I mean an acquaintance. His favorite sports meeting soon showed me that he really wasn’t all that bright. He said (In a gay womenly voice) “Hey try this game out.” So I said hey what the hell. As I took it home I hid it away so no one would see it. So I popped it into my Playstation and even it rejected it. So after a couple of trys it finally ran. So the title screen appeared…I never knew this was an alien/parasite porno flick. The thought of impailing naked green “Slaughs” as their called in the game isn’t my thought of a thrill. After killing them their balls shoot out numbing the mind into thinking why the main character would have to eat them to gain energy. Wow now I know im frightened. Then the mysteriousnes of tredding owing to the two mystical worlds (one retarted…another more retarted) is as incredible as tredding owing to a piece of sh*t. Answer me this: If a parasite/gay alien, has his mouth ripped off how can he eat balls or talk? Its incredible!! “Feed on the balls of your enemies” “Explore the vast pieces of crap and an extra bonus its a ball buffet!!” The main character is not only a gay alien but is supposedly a parasite. His arch enemy is another parasite but is about…I don’t know a billion times better then him (Just a rough estimate). The most incredible complex part of the gameplay is his incredible three hit combo. WOW THREE HITS!! Then press x to dodge/lunge and triangle to impale. Oh the difficulty. My mind strains over this sh*t. Well if you like to get off to blue alien like men…Go for but I suggest you don’t waist your cash.

The first Legacy of Kain game was the best game I have played, ever. Soul Reaver seems to take on the characteristics of every other game available. It’s a weak version of the lamest sports meeting out there. In comparison with the Blood Omen, I’m sorry, I wasted my cash. It’s a wannabe of just about every role-playing game out there. When I bought it, I was hoping for something better. In fact, I quit playing it because it was so terrible.

I played this game years ago, but I never got to where I am right now! I’m at the part where you should float on top of the pipes to get to Zephon’s Lair, and one thing is that there is nearly no way to get past that part; if you’re lucky, you will make it the first time, if not, you will be trying over 500 times, not anything!
This game can also be frustrating as in difficulty, you can get lost very easily! I just do not recommend this game, unless you like to deal with bugs! Avoid at all costs!

I’m sorry to tell you this, but this game is not all it is cracked up to be. Let’s start with the original – “Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain”. This is a classic. The game is a small crude, suffers a small from brake and is a small terribly esigned when it comes to menus. But, it is a class game, filled with brilliant features and is pure sadistic fun.
The sequel you would expect to follow on from this, improvind on its predecessors shortcomings. The game starts well – it looks promising. Nice graphics and parasite killing is fun. But, the promise ends here. This game bores very quickly. the tale line is weak, and the gameplay is repetive. Puzzles are irritating from the point of view that as the game progresses, the same puzzles crop up – they just take loger to complete. This will soon bug you in such a way that you hope that at the completion of the puzzle, the game will be over.
The terrible news doesn’t stop there. One of the best points of the original was the vast array of spells ypu could take. Call me sick, but I found imploding people a hell of a lot of fun. In Soul Reaver, not only are the spells hidden away in the most obscure areas but they are absolutely useless. you may spent 30 mins getting a spell to find out it is utterly devoid of purpose within the game.
If you liked the first one, do yourself a favour and remain tru to its purity – do not poison it with this poor excuse to make cash.

This game is the greatest, the best game ever made for the PlayStation. It is incredibly so much better than Metal Gear Solid. The only conundrum that I have is that I always reflect of the first, about how much fun I had when controlling Kain and joining him on his many adventures and what he has now done in the sequel. Still, this game can only be described as “PERFECT.” It is definately a MUST BUY no matter what. If you don’t buy this game, then you’ve got a really honest conundrum.
