Kya, dark lineage is only mediocre, not too excellent, not too terrible. It isnt junk or not anything, its just, kinda dull. The premise was fascinating enough, even though it could have been better. Kya and her brother Frank get sucked into a wierd world, Frank gets captured, kya escapes , kya now must save the alternate world. So the tale isnt all too original. Kya is fiesty, I’ll give her that. The camera is horribly sluggish, to the point of frustration (I wanted to tear out my hair sometimes). The combat, though robust, is hard to do, I resorted to button-mashing. It is a bit fun though. The puzzles are brilliant i admit, and are welcome in a world of “key hunt” puzzles. The graphics are OK, the worlds are meant to be cartoony, but they arent too splendid and lack detail. The music is also Ok. Before my shortest review ends, K:DA is OK all-over, so dont bother.

This is a really excellent game. Its simple for not all time players but not that simple. All throu her hair does rage me, stubid small deadlock ring.[ look whos talking, I can’t even spell stubid.} It is also a really long game not one where you can end in a weekend.

Kya is an incredible game. I’ve played it many times. That said, the acting is the worst I’ve ever seen, and the game is buggy. I don’t mean, “aww, this graphic is slightly eerie,” i mean, “Okay, the guy I was fighting just turned 2D, then I fell owing to the world, and the camera zoomed inside Kya so I can only see her guts as she cascade eternally.”
So why the five star rating? The levels were all immensely varied and fun to play owing to. You can skip the cutscenes, which I highly recommend, and get to the incredible gameplay.
In my experience, the game would seriously bug out every twenty minutes or so, so terrible I would have to restart my PS2 and lose my level progress. The thing is, I didn’t mind at all! It just meant there was an opportunity to play the immensely fun level again!
There are so many different aspects to the game, with fun combat, challenging and splendid platforming, racing, and even skateboarding levels. All of them are very well done and impressive, even if you do have to play owing to most of them multiple times due to crashes.
Certainly buy this, but don’t expect a polished game or even passable acting.

The game is fun for the whole family. For some reason it makes my husband motion sick. I like that because then he does not hog the game and the rest of us can play
.
It is enjoyable to play but I did have it recommended by my sister that has the same tastes as I do. And another sister of mine likes it as well. So, naturally I bought it. I have not regretted it and the price was to reasonable to resist.
Thanks for making it available!

There are only a few things incorrect with this game. The most vital is that it is GLITCHY. You will often find yourself stuck in some odd positions – such as walking on air, non-effective devices, etc.
There were too many times I had to throw Kya off of a cliff to get a particular device to operate correctly. The glitches are sometimes helpful, such as getting up to higher areas accidently owing to a shortcut, other times you will find yourself with gameplay upside down, frozen…
The other major conundrum in the game is the camera angles. They tend to wander, get stuck, etc.
Other than that, the artwork is gorgeous, the voice-acting enhances the tale (especially the familiar voice of the village elder) with entertaining cut-scenes, and the tale is solid. Fall into a mysterious world and save them to get back to your own. By the side of the way are skill mini-sports meeting that aren’t fun for everyone, but not necessary to complete the game. Unlike most cute platform sports meeting, there is actual combat fighting here, and the characters are more fascinating than “cute”.
Don’t expect a sequel; it was cancelled.
This is a must-have if you like platformers and I recommend it to fans of Spyro, Ty…
*Gorgeous artwork
*Fascinating tale -save the world
*Splendid voice acting, particularly impressive is the familiar voice of the village elder.
