Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil
Product Description
The original Klonoa for the PlayStation was a analytically acclaimed 2-D platform game, but it was mostly ignored by consumers. Gamers passed on it partially because of its unfamiliar and unusual lead character, Klonoa, a furry critter with a giant pair of ears tipped with extremities. Hopefully PlayStation2 owners will not suffer from a similar aural phobia because they’ll be missing a fine game in the sequel. Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil takes the brilliant gameplay of its predecessor and puts it in a 3-D world. The game offers a nice mix of graphics, gameplay, and sound–albeit for a moderately small time.
Fans of sports meeting such as Sonic Adventure and Crash Bandicoot will like this title. It plays similarly to those sports meeting, but with superior camera control. Although the graphics are technically impressive–brilliant use of lighting effects, particle effects, and cel shading–it’s the stylishness that really stands out. The bright and playful graphics give off a feel-excellent vibe without being puerile. Unfortunately, all these lovely aspects are found in a game that most players will end in fewer than 10 hours. Sure, there are some secrets and puzzles, but not anything that’s truly challenging. It’s a brief experience, but one of the best on the PlayStation2. –Raymond M. Padilla
Pros:
- Gorgeous graphics
- Classic platform gameplay
- Lovely soundtrack
Cons:
- Very small
- Very simple
- Text boxes scroll at a snail’s pace

Klonoa is the long-eared hero of the world Lunatea, an enchanted realm divided into separate kingdoms. When a forgotten fourth kingdom of darkness threatens to upset the balance of potential in Lunatea, Klonoa and his friends go on a magical journey to set things right again. This family-friendly action game uses a new illustration technique to make dynamic camera angles in a seemingly 2-D world.

If you want a game that is frustrating, irritating, tiring, childish and plain dull buy this game ! The only time i liked to play it is when I was on the verge of dying from being bored. There is a stage ( I reflect it’s called mirror something ) is really perplexing . But if you do want a pointless no plot tale go for Klonoa , but if you want a tale worth your time get one of these titles. Any Final Fantasy game , any Fatal Frame game. I hope this was helpful to you .

I like all kinds of sports meeting: adventure, RTS, RPG, FPS, platformer, and a variety of cross-genre sports meeting. For example, I thoroughly loved Rogue Squadron, Red Alert, Age of Empires, Zelda sports meeting, Metal Gear Solid and so on. But, one thing that I consistently like is the feeling of freedom in a game. Game developers have to reflect about the limits of the console and the goal of the game, but…
I played about 4 hours of it and thought this game [...stunk]. Dull gameplay, virtually no feeling of freedom (2-D), and that irritating nonsensical language. I do have the odd feeling, though, that if you like anime, that you might like this game. I don’t in person like anime, but the bosses and characters sure gave me the feeling that those types of folks might get a kick out of this game.

This game would be fine for kids age 5-12, but I was dissapointed by how simple the game is. Also, I don’t know why everyone is saying the graphics are wonderful. They seem pretty mediocre to me. They are very jagged and very simplistic. I’ve seen better graphics on some PS One sports meeting. Again, splendid for young kids, but not for anyone with gaming skill.

When i first threw this game into the ancient ps2, i was like “what ever.” but after i got my first glimpse of klonoa 2’s decent graphics and mediocre gameplay, i was like “ok.” Don’t be frightened off by klonoa 2’s colorful cover or it’s friendly small main character, this game is really average. call in to work and send the kids out for dinner, cause can’t no one pry da boys away from this modern version of donkey kong with a twist of 007. rent this game!!!!!
