The reason i wanted you to read this review before buying is because::
Now, the plot of the game is magnificent! very well thought out!! but a bunch of major flaws that keep my stars coming down.
Clips/Synomatics::: Ok, there are WAY TOO MANY OF THESE THINGS IN THIS GAME! after ever fight, every time you penetrate a new room, EVERYWHERE! i got sooooo annoyed watching 3 minute synomatics after every small part of this game!
Malifecent::: HOW THE HECK DID THIS LITTLE WITCH GET BACK IN THE SEQUAL??? ok, i know, but it’s really stupid how they bring her back. She randomly gets brought back to life.
Too Simple::: THIS GAME IS TOO EASY! I COULD HAVE DIED! i mean, when you need to battle heartless or nobodies, the info screen says “Defeat all the heartless/nobodies to go on” I MEAN DUH? this game feels like it was made for babies!
Expert/HARD mode::: EVEN FOR THIS MODE, IT’S STILL EASY AS PIE! There is BARELY a difference in stregnth of the enemies compared to Simple, and Normal Mode!!
Worlds::: They have some new ones, some ancient ones, but they all suck. Alantica is all a musical number! and you can’t beat it until you’re like at the end of the game because it blocks you out saying “You need Thundaga to go on” or “you need to learn Cura to go on” Now that’s STUPID! needing random things to complete a world! also, the new ones are from cool Disney movies, but Kingdom Hearts 2 makes them all terrible. I mean, Hallow Bastion is now a CITY? where was that in the first game? and Hallow Bastion gets a new name?? that’s crazy!!
also, you need to go back to every release world again even after you beat it once!! besides Alantica THANK GOD!
Bosses::: ok, now here is a subject! Bosses, at random times, are too simple, ar too hard. like, in The Pride Lands ((Lion King)) the first boss is scar, simple right, yep! but the second boss is some random plant/earth dude that is nearly impossable to beat on the first try. also, when you go to Beasts Castle ((Beauty and the Beast)) the second time, the last boss in that world is soooo hard, even King Mickey helps you out. SEPHIROTH IS IMPOSSABLE! i beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts one simple with the Ultima Weapn, but in this game, he is like 100 Times Harder!
Please continue reading because i have some excellent things to say too!!
Gummi Ship::: It’s Dumb. You don’t go to worlds owing to a path way in space, you unlock a spy-hole and go owing to a hard world and defeat as many heartless ships as you can.and once you unlock a spy-hole to another world, you can just sorta glide over to the world ((you’d need the game to know)) also, i might add that the gummi creator menu is messed up and perplexing.
Begining::: I thought it was perplexing and dumb, because you don’t start out as Sora, but in fact Roxas. and yes, he has a small, but huge part in this game.
Plot::: There is not much that i can say without giving anything away, but all i can tell you is that i liked the plot a lot.
The Pros ((finally))::: The Controls are pretty much the same, except a bit more complex, and their is a reaction command ((Triangle)) Which i HATE, but it might be usefull for other people.
All In All, i in fact recomend you buy this game ((suprisingly)), only because i want people to know what happens to sora and friends, and i want people to know how terrible this game is.
The only thing i liked about this game was the music, and Winnie the Pooh World!
I only reflect i despised this game so much because i expected too much, if you don’t expect a ton from this game, you might in fact like it?? i don’t know, just try it out.

I could play Kingdom Hearts I, over and over but, Kindom Hearts II is too dull! There is too much talking and not enough action. I am too disappointed in this game because of the high standard that Kingdom Hearts I set.

Kingdom of hearts 2 does not stand up to the quality of Kingdom of hearts 1. The graphics are less detailed, and the cut scenes are choppy and unnecessarily long. Thank goodness one can opt out of playing the cut scenes. Invisable parapet abound everywere which was not a main conundrum in the first game. The game is also less open than the first one — meaning that in the first one you had more choice of what you wanted to do and in what order. The music is all disney — other characters game music is nonexistant. The exclusivity of this game is gone — it is all disney. The fights are all button pushing and switching from the item menu is awkward. Most times you win and don’t know how you did it.
If your just looking to fill time then I’d play this game. But I’d recommend renting or waiting for a discounted price. Poorly done game all round.

Whenever someone does something inventive and inspiring buy that, don’t buy its sequel. The sequel is a rehash of the first at best, and at worst the creator either hadn’t the energy to do something creative, and just threw together a standard knock-off. Note such sequels as Alundra 2, Suikoden (what is it now, four or five?), Wild Arms, etc. Sure the original was splendid at one time, but unless you find one that broke the mold, or the tale is so fascinating and developed that it continues owing to several sports meeting (from what I read of Kingdom Hearts in plot spoilers it’s not quite that developed), it’s not really worth it.
The only instances where a sequel outperformed an original is where it managed to be more creative than the first: such as Legend of Mana using nonlinear plot sequences and a learning system of battle (before, the SD3 sort of went in this management, with its choice of party altering the tale), or the Final Fantasy series which despite the reputation for being streamlined, each Final Fantasy is an experiment with a new battle system.
No, I haven’t bought KH2, but after hearing the other reviews, I can safely say that if I were to buy a Kingdom Hearts it would be Kingdom Hearts 1.

I give this game a low score because::
1) IT sucks up all of your time. I spent more time on this game than Final Fantasy 7. I play that game a lot, but time seems to go slower. Playing this game, and hour flies by and you feel like it’s only been 5 minutes. ((it took me 36 hours to beat, and then another 10 hours to get everything in the game, way too long for a dull game))
2) The worlds take WAY too long to beat. especially atlantica. and you have to go back to every world, and beat it AGAIN! ((probably to make us spend more pointless time on the game)). Also, Atlantica… It’s the exact same plot from the first game. Hoe does Ursala come back? ((never clarified)) and why do you have to go back to Atlantica 6 times? I mean, it says “get Thundaga and come back” but why did we need it? Atlantica is all a musical number.
3) This game is ALL space filler. The plot does NOT take 4 days to get owing to.
4) This game has a Sinomatic every 5 minutes. It really gets ancient. i mean, i bought the game to play it, not to watch it.
5) and last but not least… THIS GAME IS WAY TOO EASY! i mean, with sinomatics every 5 minutes, and informations bars in every battle it feels like this game was made for babies!!
I was expecting more from Kingdom Hearts II because i loved the first game so much. The only reason i gave this game 2 stars was because i loved the music so much. It just made you feel excellent while playing such a dull frustrating game.
Before i shutup with my terrible review, I even got my sister to play, and she got to the last boss, but lost intrest in it because the game is so dull, and so LONG.
Buy Kingdom Hearts 1 and Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories Those are excellent Hingdom Hearts sports meeting.
