It’s an okay game, you just get bored with it really quick. There is not much of a song choice because they want you to buy the excellent ones. By and large it’s okay if you don’t get bored with it too quick. The adjustments on the microphone don’t work and you get an echo, so it’s not like you are singing everything on cue and you get unenthusiastic pointer from the judges cause of it. Mic also statics, you can tell it’s cheap.

There is no difference from the one for the ps2, just the song selection. I expected it to be real different since its for the ps3. Expected too much….didnt live up to it. Meeting on my shelf catching dust while I play Singstar……much better karaoke game for the ps3.

First off the vocals for the songs are not from the real artists. Some songs come close but gives the game a terrible feel. Sometimes you hear static when you sing. Maybe its a terrible mic and im just unlucky but its not worth the 69 bucks to me. Character customization is limited. Your stuck with pre made models and all you can do is edit their clothing. Other than that, if you like singing the game is fun we have a excellent time playing it. Id rather wait for Sing Star whenever that one comes out. At least you get real artists singing and there videos to boot.

Pros–the game is fun.
Cons– The amount of static in nearly every song.
The cost of downloads– $1.50 for a song is waaaay too much, we should be able to pick out 10 songs for $5. Anything more than that and they can keep their downloads. I reflect we should ban together and refuse to buy downloads until they reduce the cost of them.
No flexibility– no two people sing alike and they want you to sing it exactly like the original, and have this stupid small arrow to show when you are or are not singing it just like the original. We should be allowed more flexibility to make the song our own.

I wanted to try and balance out the unenthusiastic reviews the PS3 version of this game has been getting. I in fact reflect its the best version of Karaoke Revolution yet. It’s like the original PS2 game with improved HD graphics, multiple play modes, online play and leaderboards, and over a hundred downloadable songs(so far). It also works with the PS Eye or the original Eyetoy(for live video to the social class screens) and any standard USB microphone. I really reflect having downloadable songs is the best feature, because you can build up a library of your favorite songs from past versions all on one disc, and not have to drop in and out of a game. If you have any of the ancient Karaoke Revolution sports meeting, you can sell them on Ebay (some of the original sports meeting are going for huge bucks) and just build up your song pool in this game.
And unlike Singstar, you can use Rockband microphones and this game has a lot more songs that are fun to sing!
Pros:
Updated HD graphics
Lots of gameplay options, multi player and online matches
Online leaderboards
40 songs included, over 100 downloadable songs with more on the way
Unlockable HD videos of past Idol performances
Cons:
Can’t use PS Eye/Eyetoy to import your own face on to a character. The one feature that the PS2 version has that I miss!
