Don’t get it. I guess if you are a history nut and really delight in sims it could work for you. I found the arcade mode really dry, slow, and uninspiring. Very pretty visuals though if you’re looking for something to show off.

If your game console is able to have a six axis controller you would reflect they would make use of it. I bought this as I like flight sports meeting. My conundrum with most of them is that useing thumb controls are a bit too touchy and (to me)don’t react well with play. The first Blazing Angles game had the controls down where it was simple to glide and glide well. Since then all of them (including Blazing Angles 2) use thumb controls to manuver the plane. Somebody please make a game that isn’t so complicated or in need of a secondary controler so you can play the game.
The graphics are splendid and it would be nice to see them all but they lost me after the first hour of screaming at the idiots who set up the controllers.
If anyone want to buy my copy of this game let me know as it will only gather dust.

this is a splendid game, as everyone else has said. brilliant graphics and detail and historical accuracy.
only thing is, it isnt worth getting for the ps3 unless you like controlling your planes with a gamepad and some buttons. the game just begs to be played as accurately as it is build. having played it on ps3 as well as the 360 w/ the Ace-Edge (the Ace Combat 6 joystick/throttle), i have to say, opt for the latter. gamepads are just not how this game was meant to be played. i know most people own both consoles, so opt for the 360 with ace-edge, i guarantee you will not be disappointed!

I bought this game when all there was were 5 star reviews. While the graphics are excellent (not splendid), and there are some splendid historical references including movie sequences, the by and large game play really is lacking. I’ve finished about 1/2 of the missions in the game, and this is one of the few sports meeting that I get bored with and stop after only a few missions. There has to be a lack of other things to do in order for me to be motivated enough to play more, which is a rarity for me as a gamer.

brilliant graphics and varied scenarios make this quite a nifty game, but the required tutorial at the beginning is a bit too paternalistic. some of us want to simply start the game and learn as we play. found the standard ps3 control took some getting used to for flying the plane but was alright once you got used to it.
