Hey You, Pikachu!
Product Description
Video sports meeting don’t get much cuter than Hey You, Pikachu!, a Pokémon title that allows players to talk to their favorite electric mouse–via the Voice Recognition Unit (VRU) that’s included–and share in its day-to-day adventures. While grown-up Pokémon fans might find the game too childish, the sweetie-coated goodness that’s found here makes it exact for the kiddies.
With the abstract goal of building a friendship with Pikachu, players converse with it by speaking certain keywords and phrases into the VRU’s microphone. Although Pikachu’s speech is limited to variations on its own name (e.g., “Pika! Pika!”), it expresses itself owing to thought bubbles and the game’s adorably animated 3-D graphics.
Mastering this interaction is key to solving Hey You, Pikachu!’s puzzle elements, which are encapsulated in various squeaky-clean activities in which you and Pikachu participate together. While the voice recognition here isn’t exact by any means, there’s plenty of on-screen help and guidance to keep players from getting too frustrated. –Joe Hon
Pros:
- Allows players to cooperate verbally with Pikachu
- Adorably animated 3-D graphics
- Plenty of onscreen help and guidance
Cons:
- Voice recognition not exact by any means
- Might be too childish for grown-up Pokémon fans

This game stinks worse than Pikachu’s bum. He doesn’t listen to a word my son speaks (or shall I say SCREAMS). His hearing is as terrible as ancient Mew’s. And mine is becoming equally as terrible, having to widthstand the frustrating shrills eminating from my son’s room day and night. This game has brought my son to tears. He has barely a social life, having spent his entire summer yelling at this hellish Poke-spawn. Run from this evil game, while there’s still time…

This is what might be the stupidest video game ever made for Nintendo 64. I despise it and always will! I despise any product with Pikachu or at least a Poke Ball. I absolutely despised this product based completely around Pikachu! I absolutely positively negatively despise this N64 game soooooooo much! It is the worst and stupidest game ever known to date. It is completely about Pikachu, the stupidest Pokemon around. I despise it because it has Pikachu on the box. I played and place duct tape on the cartridge because of Pikachu. The game showed stinkin Pikachu who is stupid everywhere! I despise the small stupid small microphone that doesn’t do anything except talk to stupid ancient rotten Pikachu! I despise it and I’m sold the game to my friend. When he questions me to play Nintendo at his house, I say “Don’t place in Hey You Pikachu.” He said “I won’t”. Then he did. He is now not my friend anymore because he likes stupid ancient dirty rotten yucky stupidity Pikachu who I absolutelty despise! My name is Justin Pikachuihate and I despise Pikachu so I don’t look at signs with Pikachu or buy any Pokemon harvest with any itty bitty thing to do with Pikachu or even with Pikachu on the box!

This Game Is A Lot Like Seaman In Some Ways And It’s A Must Have Cause It Has A Mic (Just Like Seaman) And You Can Talk To Pikachu And Pikachu Is Like Your Pet (Just Like Seaman) With Really Cool Powers It’s Really Cool (Unlike Seaman) And Most Of The Pokemon Are On It And You Can Tell Him What To Do (In Some Ways Like Seaman) And It’s In 3D (Just Like Seaman) (Well Not Like Seaman But That Is A Excellent Thing Cause Theirs More To See), You Get To Walk A Round With Pikachu And See Other Pokemon And Some Times They Fight And You Can To Talk Them And Their So Much To Do On This Game And You Even Get Pikachu To Fight Other Pokemon Like On The Cartoon And You And Pikachu Can Fish And (It’s Not Really Like Seaman Cause He Has No Cartoon)(One Of The Best Pokemon Game’s Ever)Really Excellent And I Know All Of This Cause I Played The JP.V Of The Game And I Speek JP To So… Any Way Pikachu Under Stands You Better Than Seaman Would Ever Not That I’am Dissing Seaman It’s Just Sometime Well Most Of The Time He Dose Not Under Stand What Iam Trying To Say But Pikachu Is A Lot EZ-ER To Talk To PS:I Really Like The Mic Yea And Seamans Cool To.
