I often have “after hours” parties at my home with friends and friends of friends (well you know how that goes). I bought 4 sets of the hexoLight 6000 and set them up with the music system inside the house and on the covered patio. They are simply fabulous and make the parties so alive; an incredible difference and all my guests are blown away that it is so club like. They are simple to set up and very affordable. This is like a strobe light on steriods. I thought it just worked with Guitar Hero but it works with splendid with my iPod dock. No cables to mess with-you can place it anywhere. It projects enough light to fill up my room which is about 12×15ft. I would recommend a fog machine to make it even better. Adds energy to any party!

This is really a killer system. You get 6 lights that are all hexagons and they can be popped out and reconfigured in a bunch of different shapes. They will fit in any setup. I have a small dorm room and bought 2 of these and now the after party is always at my place. There is no heat, you can place them on anything. I just use it mostly with my iPod dock and turn on the Genius playlist and – it’s a cool party.

I ordered the hexlight 6000 and they rock. I set up a whole light show in my game room and it has been a real hit with all my friends. Quick shipping also. Now I just need to order more to stack up.

I received my Hexolight 13000 unit today. Unfortunately, the Hexolights themselves do not come in their own packaging. Rather, the bare lights were positioned into an oversized Amazon box and there was inadequate brown paper packaging material stuffed around the light units. One of the lights was cracked. It was also obvious that these lights are quite cheaply made and certainly not worth the $120 I had paid for them. The AC adapters were also positioned in small white boxes within the Amazon box. Two of the three adapters were in fact out of their boxes and just floating around in the box. To me, it seems like this item is being shipped out of someone’s basement as opposed to Amazon. I was very very surprised and disappointed that this item arrived as it did. Needless to say, I have already filed a return request. I question the sincerity of the other reviews posted on these items. Buyer beware!
