Tale How far will you go to save someone you like? In Heavy Rain each player discovers their own answer to this question as they experience a gripping psychological thriller filled with innumerable twists and turns, where choices and actions can and do result in dramatic consequences. Across four days of mystery and suspense, the hunt is on for a murderer known only as the Origami Killer – named after his macabre calling card of leaving behind folded paper shapes at crime scenes. Even more chilling is the fiend’s well established pattern of killing his victims four days after abducting them. The public is gripped with dread as the police seem powerless to stop the carnage, and another potential victim — Shaun Mars — has gone missing. Now four characters, each following their own leads and with their own motives, must take part in a desperate attempt to prevent the killer from taking yet another life.

I just got this game and within 15 minutes it completely crashed my system and the game is stuck in my ps3. If I ever get the game out I am returning it and will not buy another one. In this day and age this should not happen, screw sony for possibly ruining my system which has never had any problems. It probably is a excellent game but I will never know.

I played the demo first on the play station and found the game addicting. Immediately I went to buy the game, only to find myself immersed for a excellent three hours in the tale line and gameplay. At first, the way you go your character is a small…. different, but after you get used to the controls then the game is completely worth it. The only conundrum I have is sometimes I reflect the voice acting is a small off, but its something I can look over. By and large, I would certainly buy the game, even for 60 dollars it’s worth it. The interactive tale line and being able to shape your own tale is something of being fantastic.

… So why do Sony and Quantic Dream expect us to buy a Game that doesn’t Play? The game is so full of game freezing, audio popping, reboot your PS3 and hope your save data didn’t get degraded bugs that it’s basically unplayable for many. While not everyone seems to be experiencing these game-halting bugs and erros, many, including myself are, and frankly, it seriously detracts from the by and large game experience.
Not worth the $60 price tag.

I played the game all the way owing to not knowing there are f&(*&ing multiple endings. Had I known that my playstyle may have been different. I didn’t like the ending at all and there is no way I am going to watch all of those dull cutscenes again just to change the ending, plus I already know who the real killer is. What a stupid thought for a game they should give you the choices with some understanding that you are changing the tale line. I want that 8 hours of my life back.

This game by the side of with “The Last Guardian” was the reason I bought a PS3 last month. This game is not only disappointing, but the most overrated game of the year!
Cons
Tale/Dialogue: One word: Horrible. One would reflect a game that depends so strongly on tale, characters and dialogue, that it would be excellent. I’m not expecting Kafka, Dostoevsky or Camus quality here, but this is not even “Silent Hill:Shattered Memories”,”New 2″, “Bioshock” or “Mass Effect” quality. Reflect of every cliché found in shows like: “Law and Order” or “CSI”, It has them all and more. For example, there is a scene where the member of the clergy is looking for his son, he finally realizes he can’t find him. So, he walks to the middle of the streets, gets down on his knees and raises his arms out and screams his name while the rain is dripping down his face. This was a very lol moment. The tale really is terrible, and I am astonished at gamers reaction to it. Anyone who thinks this game has a deep, emotional and intellectual tale really have to go out and get a book because this is laughably terrible, Cringe worthy in fact. Video game tales have been improving in the last ten years, and this game sets it back to 1999. This game is for people who reflect they are “intellectual” or “mature”, but in all reality, if anyone have some braincells they can see the mess the tale, dialogue and characters are. It fails as a movie and fails as a game, and most importantly it fails in trying to be artistic.
Voice Acting: It’s all over the place. sometimes the voice acting is so terrible it’s distracting, it really pulls you out of the immersion the game offers. Again, why would a game that depends on tale have terrible voice acting? I tried switching the language track. I get the same results in French and Spanish.
Control: Control? The few times you get to “control” your character is horrible. Everyone moves like a tank, and one would reflect the developers wanted excellent controls to keep you immersed in the game. Once you start walking straight into a wall for the tenth time, you tend to get out of the immersion this game is trying to realize, and no you do not get use to it.
Pros
Music: Very excellent. Dark, temperamental and atmospheric. Exact for the game subject matter.
Don’t want a shooter or another FPS game? Support real sports meeting with splendid controls and a splendid tale that’s original and fun! get “Silent Hill: Shattered Memories” I am not a “fanboy” of any company. I like and respect all, but I like and respect sports meeting even more, Please support splendid sports meeting that do something different…That’s in fact excellent. I’m assuming people who buy “Heavy Rain” are for something different, but I hope gamers will realize what is hype and what is excellent. “Shattered Memories” is ART, not “Heavy Rain”
