When we bought this, we assumed the guitar was Aerosmith. We weren’t aware that nearly every song is an Aerosmith song. When you’ve got kids aged 9 – 13, that isn’t as appealing to them as it might be to adults who grew up with Aerosmith. If we had it to do all over again, we’d buy something that had more variety. We’re pleased with it by and large, but we didn’t do the research and hopefully this will help others to be more informed in their buy.

I like the band, i like the game. But – this would have been splendid if they went the way of Rockband AC/DC Track Pack. That being said, i like the extra controller / guitar with the Aerosmith pick guard.
Lot’s of fun, only complaint is that to play regular GH III songs, i have to switch discs. Minor complaint. Splendid animations, and song selection.

I’m slow @ video sports meeting but, my huband is a pro. This seems to have a lot of levels & the music is GREAT! (rock & roll). You earn songs & can even buy stuff for the game(like Run DMC)! Splendid fun & well, I’m still a beginner @ these things but, I’ll play on…

I originally bought the guitar hero before christmas and recieved it on time but the package was missing the wireless reciever. I contacted the merchant and he sent me the incorrect reciever, I then called him again he told me he had someone who might have the reciever for the guitar hero so he would call me back and he never did that was two weeks ago I went ahead and bought another reciever, over all though everything else was in splendid condition.

Guitar Hero-Aerosmith *****
While trying not to be completely biased, as Aerosmith is my all time favorite band. Feeling that all the other Guitar Hero sports meeting could have been better, this one kills them all. The graphics are much, much, much better. The songs selection is better not only because it is Aerosmith but because it is in fact them playing the songs, some live and some studio cuts. Also many of the songs from other bands are the originals not covers like on previous Guitar Hero sports meeting.
As a fan who has seen the band live several time I must say they are captured here really well. Perry, Whitford, and Hamiltons guitars are exact replicas which is killer.
The tale line follows the bands rise, as well as your own. the wireless guitar is cool, as it the Aero face plate. What is also cool is when Aerosmith records their new baby book they will release each track as it is completed for download for the game. Way worth the cash!
