Splendid Game with lots of Trophies for the younger DS players in your house! (splendid for small ones that are tired of never progressing in the harder sports meeting) Fun Music too!

I bought this game after reading the previous review–thinking it would be splendid for my young daughters (6 and
since it’s so easily beaten. Well, it really isn’t all that simple for kids. It took me awhile to get the hang of it as well, although it still only took me 1 day to beat the whole thing. The graphics are clean but you have no time to look at them and delight in them, since you have to rush, rush, rush. I guess I don’t like timed sports meeting–Garfield has to constantly eat or he cascade asleep and then you have to use Odie to find an alarm timer to wake him. If you can’t do it quickly, you have to restart. The gameplay feels awkward and clunky–sometimes you just fall off platforms for no reason, or it’s like Odie gets in the way and makes it hard to jump accurately. Irritating. Yes, I beat the game, but I wouldn’t say I had fun doing it. At least now that it’s beaten, all the levels are unlocked and my daughters can choose any one they want to play, any time. If you have Garfield fans at your house, get Garfield’s Nightmare for DS–it’s a blast and so worth the cash!

You do NOT want to buy this game. The length of the game is just crazy!! It took me 35 minutes to beat the whole game. If you want an insanely simple, piece of cake small game, then this is for you. The gameplay that is there is fun and the colors and graphics are rich but that still does NOT make up for the very small game play. The only way I would pick up this game is if it cost $5. It’s not worth anymore then that. This is by far a RENTAL.
