I recently bought a Game Boy Advanced SP. I’ve never owned one before, so I’m certainly the “new kid on the block”. I saw this kit listed with the SP so, foolish me, I just “assumed” that it was meant for the GBA SP. Well, after I received it and opened up the kit packaging, I found that it IS NOT for the SP. There is NO WAY that this fits! The plug for the ear buds is the incorrect type of connector, to say not anything about the size and shape of the protective cover and holder case for sports meeting, are the incorrect sizes completely! This may fit other GBA, but it DOES NOT work with the SP.

First, I ordered the 21-in-1 kit, and was sent the 12-in-1. After seeing this in person, I don’t reflect it would have made much difference even if I had gotten the right one.
The cases for the GBM and sports meeting (2 sports meeting only) are passable. The silicone skin is nice. The rest of the stuff….well…cheap earbuds, a couple of screen protectors and 3 cleaning cloths. Keep in mind that the the 2 screen protectors count as 2 items and the 3 cloths count as 3 items in the “12″ total. The 21-in-1 seems to pad the item total with several plastic cases for individual sports meeting.
I would have bought the GBM case and skin by themselves if they had offered it, but I wouldn’t have paid this much for it. All-in-all I’m dissappointed.

This is a splendid starter kit that is farely inexpensive. You have alot of things that come with it that I was surprised to see. The carrying case is very handy and protects the gameboy very well. So is the case for the sports meeting. Sometimes its hard to open and I wish that it held more sports meeting, but thats why they call it a “starter” kit. Anyhow, not a terrible investment if you want something to help you out and not burn a hole in your pocket.

I highly recommend this kit for several reasons. The case became my daily carrier for the Micro, …as you will certainly not want to keep the tiny Micro in your pocket without protection (screen scratches). Plus, the case has a mesh pocket inside for a second GBA game cartridge. And don’t believe the other review about it being “hard to zip”. Not right at all. The case is PERFECT. It even has an embossed D-pad and A & B buttons on the outside, …which serves no practical purpose whatsover, …but looks really cool.
The car charger is another splendid plus, especially if you’re one who doesn’t keep your unit charged often. Lastly, the rubber grip doesn’t look as cheesey as you may dread, and it makes the unit infinitely simpler to hold onto while playing, …although the A & B buttons become a bit harder to press (simple to adjust to but). The Micro with the rubber grip installed still fits securely into the case with no conundrum. I haven’t used the headset, …and I don’t care for the game cartridge case.

I know Nintendo Micros are out-dated, and accessories for them are hard to come by, but this set is not worth the cash. The only thing worthwhile is the car charger, and I’m hoping it holds up because it looks unpleasant. The game holder fell apart just trying to open it. The earphones are extremely uncomfortable, and the carrying case, although sturdy, is a pain to zip and unzip. The plastic cover for the micro attracts dirt and isn’t tactile friendly. Spend a small more and get a better product.
