Let me just start the review with a bit of description on the game. You go around trying to win races to get cash things and buy your car new things to place on it such as different colors and motors and that sort. As simple as this sounds, the game is quite challenging because the control of the car really stinks and you can’t seem to control the car. You can get bored of this game easily. Sorry if you like this game but I just couldn’t get into it. I played this for 5 minutes and chose I shouldn’t dissipate my time and I should sell this game for more than it costed (hey, it works). I’ll end this review with a small rating thingy.
Gameplay:4/10: Hey, this game is dang dull and you would only like it if you’re really into racing sports meeting. Unfortunately, the only racing game I really in fact like is CTR: Crash Team Racing so this game was instantly NOT a keeper.
Graphics:8/10: The dreadful gameplay gets made up for because of the excellent graphics. I bought some metallic car and for once it in fact looked metallic. Excellent job, SVG Distribution for making a racing game that looked like you were in fact racing.
Sound:4/10: Just ancient racing music. Not anything to get worked up about . Excellent thing there’s not a soundtrack. Man, would that be the worst thing in markets.
Control:2/10: You literally just can not control your car. When you turn, you, well, let’s just say it isn’t excellent, but I’ve seen worse.
By and large:18/40: I guess that is a 2.2/5 and if I round that, Gadget Racers gets a 2. Well, I hope this review helped you to find out if you want this game or want to throw it in the trash. So, see you in my next review on another game!

Our 5 yr ancient twins bought this game on clearance at Toys R Us last winter when we first got the PS2. The fact that it was on clearance should have been a clue about its popularity/quality, but being new to the gaming environment, we let them buy it. The kids like changing the cars and choosing to go in the water or on other different tracks. But, controlling the vehicles is nearly impossible, esp. for novice gamers. You don’t control the sports meeting using the joystick, you have to use the arrows instead. It’s very perplexing for small kids. My kids rarely play this game. Excellent thing it was so cheap!

Im not usually into racing sports meeting. Same thing everytime, go around and around and around the track. But this game is really fun. Graphics are of course gorgeous and the game play is super cool. You earn cash for your position in a race, with that cash you can upgrade your car. Buy larger engine,transmission,potential steering, suspension,disc brakes, different tire types, CPUs, racing spoilers, wings, skis, propellers, floating devices, you name it it can be bought. Race offroad, in water, snow street, and even glide a small. Paint your car, rims, change rims, change horns. There is soo much you can do.
If your a race fan you have to buy this. If your not then you have to buy this.
