I’ve been playing racing sports meeting since Highest point’s Death Revive, and that game, which came out in the early 90s, is more fun than this one! After you get past level one on the career area, the players get pathetically and unrealistically hard, to the point where the game isn’t fun anymore. The racing courses are horribly designed. It’s set so that if you don’t follow the EXACT course they want you to, you will lose. I don’t know why they bothered to design all these extra areas if you can’t go into them! And if you reset, you get place back so many feet your lead, if you were even able to get one, is gone, or if you’re trying to catch up, you never will!
The cars are way too hard to handle as well. You don’t get much if as boost for drift, or, as the game is designed, you don’t always get your boost for destroying things. They(cars)look soo asinine, and no matter how many times to hit a person, or you get hit, there’s no hurt.
The stunts areas, the ones where you can throw your driver out of the car, is terrible! It looks like it would be very bloody, but there’s not a release drop of the gorgeous red stuff! And once again you have to be complete exact to get enough points to even get into the top 5.
The demolition areas are a royal pain. Unlike other sports meeting where the cars disappear so they aren’t in the way, all the hurt stays…ALL OF IT! So you can blow youself out on a dead car. And if you’re doing too well, all the other players will do is attack you, and you alone!
So in small, what is the point in playing a game that requires you to have to be completely exact to win? Isn’t the point of gaming to be fun? Cause I sure wasn’t having any!
This game is a dissipate of cash and time!

This is one fun game that the whole family enjoys. Several vehicles to unlock, upgrades, mini-sports meeting and demolition derbies. Very addicting game. If you like realistic crashes, then this is the game to buy.

I do not know why anyone would really dislike this game, maybe not there favorite, but theres nothin terrible about this game. Splendid attention to detail when it comes to crashes and getting dinged up by other cars. All the game modes are fun(race, derby, stunt)
Online play is really fun too, especially if you have a mic.
Only terrible part is some tracks are the same tracks, just in contrary directions and the cars slide around too much as if you have absoluty no tred.
Best racing game I’ve ever played though. The need for speeds are fun, but generally have small or no hurt and the tracks all look a small too similiar. They also don’t offer as many jumps and the crashes are not nearly as spectacular. You’ll be wanting to see some of your best crashes over again in slow motion in Flatout 2. I can’t wait for the 360 version!

The original Flatout was fun on several levels, but the best thing was the ability to head off the track and explore. It was splendid for 2-player, particularly for “jump contests”…find a huge hill and see who can jump farthest and/or crash the best!
Flatout 2, on the other hand, summarily puts you back in the track if you stray very far. What were they thinking?

Cool racing game with mini “crash and toss a driver around” sports meeting. We got quite some laughs playing the mini sports meeting tossing the driver around.
