I’ll be quick and to the point…this game is NOT Final Fantasy!!! Did I mention it’s also terrible? The tale, music, and gameplay is as flat as the cartrige it’s made on! SaGa Frotier has been wildly praised as the worst Squaresoft game ever produced, and it’s no marvel why! The only reason it came here as Final Fantasy is because they figured that’s the only way it would sell! My advice: Skip this game!

There is no doubt that Final Fantasy Legend (SaGa in Japan, billed as Final Fantasy in the United States to boost sales) was a highly advanced game for its time (1989). But, it offers not anything that its sequel doesn’t offer, and the game is, shall we say, very poor. Not having the advantage of affect that its contemporaries (Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy) had, the graphics are so poor that they were in fact terrible in 1989, which says a lot. The tale is about as simplistic as they come, and you should be able to beat this game in a few hours no conundrum. Considering its limited availability now, I doubt anyone will really want to play this game – trust me, you aren’t missing anything. My fellow “ancient school” RPG players will call me a heretic, but this game has not anything memorable to offer. Skip it.

A honestly excellent game, although it didn’t truly deserve the name of Final Fantasy. It simply didn’t catch essensce of the FF sports meeting, It lacked the engrossing tale.It was too…
Unadorned.
But, when I started playing, I was hooked. A fun game to play when BORED.
All in all, a game to play when you are tired of those irritating car songs on road trips.

I rate this game well not only because it is a excellent game, but it also started my favorite Squaresoft series (SaGa). Give the game a chance if you can. It does not have splendid graphics/music/tale, but it is an grown-up game so be forgiving. Besides, the gameplay more than makes up for that.
