Final Fantasy III…Final Fantasy VI…it`s all the same to me. This game is horrible and practically unplayable. The challenge is just a LITTLE too high,and level building takes hours and isn`t even worth it. Stick with FFVII

I know a lot of people are going to get mad at this… but oh well.
Final Fantasy III(or VI in Japan) is a splendid game. As all not more than have stated, for a console that with the advent of the GameCube is now two generations ancient, this game is an eye-popper. A excellent tale, splendid graphics for it’s time, and a depth (puzzle and exploration-wise) that will keep you playing long after you beat it the first time, this game is a fun and thought-provoking way to spend a week or two.
But, would I spend eighty bucks for it? No way. This is the first FF I ever played, and I loved it. Now, with FF moving on in into it’s tenth (and apparently eleventh right afterwards…) game, it’s a bit dated. And honestly, the game was originally designed for pre-teen/young-teen players in mind, and has all the silliness that goes by the side of with it. The plot, while if you look hard enough is deep and a bit dark at times, I reflect people pull more what they want from it than what was in fact included.
Don’t get me incorrect. FF3 is a splendid game. If you’ve never played it before, go buy it from a used game store or find a friend who owns it. Or deal with the loading times and buy Anthology, so you can also play FF5 (which is a excellent game, also). Believe it or not, it’s cheaper. Eighty bucks, though, I just don’t see it.
PS: If you’ve never played any of the Final Fantasies before VII, as a lot of people, I can’t really see you enjoying the step back to III unless you are really into nostalgia (like I happen to be.) I reflect the main reason I really liked this game is that it was the first FF & RPG I ever played, and so for me it is nostalgic. For those who haven’t played, it would probably just seem dated.

Splendid game. I loved every moment of this game and I’d be glad if someoe would confirm for me that this is in fact FF6, so I can go get the gameboy version. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, obviously the super nintendo won’t last forever, and getting the version of this game on gameboy would be a excellent thought.
