I’m rating this game one star because of one reason! It didnt come out yet. I have played World Cup ‘98 and I must admit, the team jerseys, the players…every release thing was brilliant. But I’m not sure this will be. Team jerseys are already in detail at FIFA 2002 so what difference will it have to this game? I reflect that the only difference this game has is the fact that you could play the World cup. I reflect that’s the only reason FIFA 2002 didnt have the world cup tournament…this happened so gamers would buy this game. Or else if FIFA 2002 did have the WC tournament, nobody would’ve dared buying this game. I read in the product description that now you can pass and lob the ball, even shoot it, in any management…well it’s not as different as it is to FIFA 2002. So I do not recommend you buying this game only until another person does and tells you his/her thoughts. But make sure this person has tried FIFA 2002 or else he/she might come up with millions of reasons why it’s so excellent. Alright, so I said what I had to say, but I reflect it’s time to tell you what I found out from its demo. The demo is quite average. You play only two teams in proffessional level. As I saw, the graphics was probably 13% better than FIFA’s and the sound was partly the same except for added japanese sounds aswell. The stadiums…well I dont know about that but I’m pretty sure there are plenty of real-life korean and japanese stadiums. Also, it had the name Kobe! What about the gameplay? you might question? it’s the most vital question and I am ready to answer it. Gameplay is pretty much the same I guess. The only conundrum is that it is quite similar to any other FIFA game made this year. Not a lot of improvements but all in all, I reflect this video game will rock once it’s getting closer to being bought.

I reflect the game play is even better then FIFA 2002. The graphics are awsome and the gameplay is quick and fluid.
“The PlayStation 2 version of the game generally looks excellent. There are lively crowds holding national flags in the air. The stadiums are accurately modeled after their real-life counterparts and filled with plenty of detail. The player uniforms are all accurate, and some of the player models look like accurate representations of the actual player. The frame rate ruins vigorous throughout most of the game”
I would recomend any soccar fan buy this game. It is the only game that you can in fact play for the world cup. How excellent would a football game be if you couldn’t play in the Super Bowl? The bottom line is that this game is the best soccar game out there.

2002 FIFA World Cup is not as excellent as you may reflect it looks. First of all, scoring is hard. You have to control where you are kicking when you don’t KNOW where you are kicking it. Secondly, at the main menu, you have four options. Friendly Match(Exhibition), FIFA World Cup, Settings, and Bonus Material. And if you don’t already know, international teams only play the FIFA World Cup. So pretty much, you can’t be the Dallas Burn or LA Galaxy or D.C. United. And the World Cup is really small if you win it. It’s not even ten sports meeting. Thirdly, you can’t make players! I have FIFA Soccer 2000 and you can make players on it but not on world cup. This game is kind of a rip-off.
Well, I hope this helps you guys!!

First of all, a lot of reviewers are criticizing the game because it only features the 32 teams in the 2002 World Cup. Well…that’s the title of the game…”2002 FIFA World Cup”…so what else would you expect? In any case, the game’s graphics and sound quality are brilliant. The inclusion of the special skills of the “star” players makes the game quite exciting also. The game features all of the approach, formations, and team line-up management features we’ve all come to expect.
And for those with a widescreen TV, the widescreen mode makes the game play more realistic. The only thing I in person wish it had was something like a penality shootout practice mode. Get this game…it’s worth it.
