Got the game yesterday after waiting for a football PS3 game – I am very disapointed! The game has excellent graphics and sound but it is just dreadful to play. You have to anticipate so far in advance that when the ball comes to you the go has already been chose. When you defend you can’t do much apart from run alongside the attacker and hope for the best, and attacking, again because you have to anticipate so far in advance it makes it hard to place any classy go together. The game claims to give you several ’skill’ moves to go to beat defenders – no chance, all you can do is run and hope for the best.
I have several PS3 sports sports meeting and this is by far the most disapointing.
I’m British and have been waiting long-sufferingly for a football (soccer!) game and have had to place up with American sports since the begininning of the year – back to Basketball and Madden for me – very very disapointing.

Fifa 08 leave a lot to be desire, even though its a moderately a fun game, it again cascade small of at least what i been waiting since i bought an xbox360 and 07 was disapointin and ps3 hoping it will be better for 08.the last excellent fifa was prob ps2 06. But anyways fifa 08 def improves a lil on the defensive side, you wont have to desperatly press every button tryin to get the last defender anymore though its harder to in fact take the ball awya from the defender which kinda cancels each other out. on offense the “helped” passing and shooting are terrible i woudl suggest change it all to manual. instead on workin on it being more realistic they just made the kicking and passing so terrible on accuracy, that it makes it more realistic cause u dont get every pass on but not beacuase of excellent defense just terrible offense. by and large again im disapointed is hould just kept 06 for ps2 and save cash on this game the ps3 and the hdtv. Hopefully winning eleven game play will be excellent enough to make up for the lack of graphics fifa always has.

I have been playing FIFA since forever and have played pro soccer for over 10 years. For those of you who delight in real competitive soccer game with real players and leagues FIFA 08 is the way to go!

I was really looking forward to FIFA for the PS3, but, I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. You wont delight in passing the ball to your player and watching him stand there waiting for the ball to arrive to him and your opponant just coming by the side of and intersecpting the ball. Especially on long passes where your player is on the enivitable track. If you can get past these issues you will delight in the game, but it will continue to fustrate you in competitive sports meeting.
