I return this item because when I tried to install it on my computer it said it was a copy and to insert original disk to continue. Without a key code or proof of buy I could not play or install …..I still like the game but worried to buy again.

If you ever played Diablo I or II, playing Fate would be like a walk down Memory Lane. Why? The interface is similar, the potion system is similar, even the quests are similar. The main difference is probably the fact that you have a pet dog or cat that follows you everywhere. Your pet is basically useless and you can’t customize your pet either but it’s there and it does act as a tank of sorts since it never dies.
It’s basically a hack n’ slash type of game. There’s not much of a storyline and there’s certainly no character development so don’t expect that when playing this game. Unlike Diablo though, there’s no “class” that you choose. It’s just one character that you can customize to be a warrior, a mage, or a rogue–or some other combination. Not anything is set up for you. You have the potential to make a hybrid character or a jack-of-all-trades type of character. You can learn spells, you can use certain weapons if you got the right stats, and a type of skills tree. If you liked Diablo, you’re probably going to like Fate minus all the gore. I certainly loved playing it.

This game of monsters and bugs to fight. This game of quests to solve so you can level up. This game of gold. This game of armour and weapons. This game is gotta be on your play list. This game is cute yet simple to play and keeps you wanting more. I have played both Fate and Fate Undiscovered Realms and like them. I also like the thought of having a pet that fights with you and being able to send it back to town to sell things for gold. As most sports meeting like this there are lots of clean weapons and armour and sometimes it is a tough choice which is better. Sometimes it seems all the splendid stuff and some excellent stuff is inaccesable. I like these sports meeting and hope there will be a third instalment.

When i tried the game free it seemed fun, so i chose to buy it. But after playing it for two days, and reaching level 20 it got absolutely dull. This game may be okay for a pre-teen kid, its all hack and slash and mild violence, no blood and gore. The game is so repetative and dull. New armor and weapons gives it some goals, but I wasn’t impressed. Neverwinter Nights and even Baldur’s Gate was more fun than this game.
Don’t dissipate your cash on this game or the sequel. Unfortunately I bought both.

I am an adult female and am enjoying playing this RPG …. I haven’t had much experience with this type of game before, but I do delight in playing SIM sports meeting, so I chose to give this a try. In some ways, I like it better than some sim sports meeting which have either few or no goals. This game gives you goals or tasks to complete for the “villagers” as well as feats of bravery that you must go before moving on to other levels. As you progress owing to the levels, you earn gold, and pick up valuable tools to use by the side of your way. You even have a pet to join and protect you on your quest (there are ways to morph you pet into a stronger character as you go by the side of). If you fail your mission and are killed …gasp…the grim reaper allows to to make several choices to continue. Everything in this game has to do with the choices you make by the side of the way…kind of like life itself! Choose wisely!
