Fallout 3 PS3Amazon.com
The third game in the Fallout series, Fallout 3 is a singleplayer action role-playing game (RPG) set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC. Combining the horrific insanity of the Cold War era theory of mutually poised destruction gone terribly incorrect, with the kitschy naivety of American 1950s nuclear propaganda, Fallout 3 will satisfy both players familiar with the well loved first two sports meeting in its series as well as those coming to the franchise for the first time.

The Tale: Vault 101 – Jewel of the Wastes
For 200 years, Vault 101 , a fallout shelter, has faithfully served the surviving residents of Washington DC and its environs, now known as the Capital Wasteland. Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but ruined, the residents of Vault 101 delight in a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you wide awake to find that your member of the clergy has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you’ve ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your member of the clergy, and the truth.

pretty terrible. honestly, this game slows down and heats up my system terrible.
id rather have a smaller world to explore with more in it.
the excellent things? i like how you can customize your 3rd person view with pans and zooming then set it and forget it! cool feature, or play first person! graphics are nice, VATS ( the gore and blowing heads off owns ) is the stop action targeting system. its kinda cool , you tell it where u wanna target and which enemy if more then 1. with a hit percentage ) chance of hit )
the terrible :
no action. slow slow slow, in the beginning, finally when u leave the vault, its one huge dull post nuke world. dull. drab. pointless, redundant. lame.
game has excellent graphics, thats all.
get resistance 2, dead space, c.o.d.-w.a.w., small huge planet, moto gp 08 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( other favs of ancient: timeshift, darkness, f.e.a.r. , unreal tourn 3 )
id also say rent this first, i did and i cant wait to return it!
fallout 3 = caca.
lame. also avoid half life 2 orange box. garbage.
the next ones to get will be prince of persia and dread 2 scheme origin

This game is very slow, repetitive, and it is hard to follow some of the quests. It is the worst game I have ever played.

This game is excellent and the trailer was excellent. The game play is fun and the computer graphic was nice. But some scenes are no excellent view. This game will hit.

This is an nothingness in a new theme. Do not reflect of it as a sequel to fallout.
One would reflect that a game 10 years in the making and with the title of the long enduring fallout series would have the feel of fallout. No, not so much.yes, it uses the name and theme, but not the feel. I would rather play fallout 2.
Firstly this game does have brilliant graphics and nearly no bugs.
For someone who hasn’t played fallout before this may be a splendid game.
For those fallout veterans this is a splendid disappointment. I wish i had saved my cash.
The main thing that bothers me is that even though the world is large and the game seems to be free form, nearly everything you do results in a similar end.
I really really miss having to reflect about my actions rather than just brainlessly wander about and kill stuff.
Gets ancient.
The only real choice of consequence is the megaton city choice. thats it.
The creators went to splendid lengths to make it so your choices DON’T limit or help you later on in the game. Why would my decisions do that? in real life my actions only have immediate small term effects, right?
You may have different ways of completing a quest or various things to say, it always comes out nearly the same. It lacks much of the decisionmaking from the first two. I lost interest after i realized that nomater what i do i can still complete everything on the map.
One would reflect if you go and start killig everyone you may limit yourself or make it impossible to do other things. Not here. Any made character can complete every quest. To the same end, some have two outcomes but they are fixed.
Why even make my own character?
It was like a one or two time watcher movie.
If i am in a conversation and i flat out insult someone one would reflect they wouldnt trust you or at the least wouldnt want to talk to you again.
Not like that “Hey you! Hideous!”-”well thats not a very nice thing to call someone new. So what would you like to talk about.”
The dialogue is dumbed down and you always have a excellent, terrible and maybe a neutral option. occasionally a skill based one too. but why would you as an angel have the option to insult the hell out of someone? Or as an evil villian i would expect to have special extra evil stuff to say instead of the standard ones, including the suck-up goody two shoes option.
In summary, my largest complaint is that since i can do everything with any given character, where is the guide to try a different aproach or play the game differently?
And i never reflect about the choices i make,, they dont have more than an immediate and local effect.
Maybe they will place out a “make this game be fallout”-Patch.
Oh..and for the like of god,, has anyone heard of a soundtrack?

This game is gorgeous. The gameplay is gifted, the graphics are stellar and the tale is magnificent. This is probably the best game I have played for a very long time. Unfortunately, I am playing it on the PS3 and I will not be able to buy the downloadable make pleased that will be available in the near future. If I was told about this before I bought this from Amazon then I would of bought a copy for my XBox 360.
To me this is a terrible marketing approach. As a paying customer I have been sold a lemon or at the very least a lite version of the game for the same cash as the PC/XBox full version.
I like the game and I would have loved playing The Pitt and participating in the battle for Anchorage, but because Bethesda did not tell this bait and switch tactic in the beginning I am stuck with this unless I am willing to repurchase a game I already own.
5 stars for the game 1 star for Bethesda and Amazon
