Every Choice Has Its Consequences
Fable 2 provides players with a truly immersive experience where a virtually limitless number of choices can be made, all of which have their own consequences, making each game unique. When you start the game, you choose either to play the role of a boy or girl, and depending on your choices, the hero will grow up to be tall or small, excellent or evil. Players can get married and have children; female player characters will become pregnant, which will then be reflected by their physical appearance.
Early in the game, players are presented with a stray dog for a best friend, who will need to be fed and loved, and will accompany the player throughout his or her life. Depending on the player, the dog will change appearance and help him or her in various ways, such as alerting of impending dangers and attacking enemies.
Players inhabit the world of Albion and are free to roam the land to as they please. Players can use different expressions to converse with others, such as taunting and laughing, and even belching or farting.
As the players grow, so does Albion, reflecting the choices that were made earlier in the game. Every house, hut, castle, and dungeon can be bought if the player wishes. Players can buy up all the land in a town and can become mayor, king, and even emperor of the entire land.

This is quite absurd, that Lionhead Studios has the audacity to call this video game an RPG. What rubbish is this?
It seems every character in the game has a role and character development EXCEPT YOUR CHARACTER.
What is he, a mute? This is the same nonsense from the first Fable; the main character has absolutely NO emotion at all. Everyone speaks to him and all the gorgeous or horrible things that happen to him mean absolutely not anything because he’s expressionless and mute.
Perhaps the bald director of Fable should have questioned the tale writers to mention both main characters from both Fables are intellectually disabled and have no capacity to utter a release word.
Without your character able to relate to the world he lives in I cannot possibly grow to care about him. For that, I can just go visit a mentally challenged hospital and find that hero.
If you want to play a genuine game where you can in fact come to appreciate the character you play as, then try Mass Effect. No matter what it is you choose–being excellent, evil or neutral–the character always responds emotionally with character development; not to mention the fact that he or she has a past as well.
Don’t dissipate your cash on this garbage. It might have exquisite graphics and dynamics, but a game without a genuine tale for your character to express his or herself in is not anything more than an economic buy of vacuity.

I guess you are saying right now why are you writing a review when the game isnt even out yet..well its because i saw the trailer and i want to clarify a few things about why you should get this game when it is released. First off there will be the same excellent and evil thing that you Fable fans know and like, and also there will be a new class you can be..and thats a pirate. Maybe the gun will screw up the game or maybe it will just enhance it i am a small bit nervious abot the gun thing because i like the middle age theme its so simplistic and awsome. We will just have to wait and see what Fable 2 has in stores. And oh yeah one more thing it will be comlonial times so be ready to see some revolutions.

Though a tad on the small side the amount of replay regard and depth to this game is just stunning, any fans of western rpgs owe it to themselves to buy this game!

I haven’t gotten very far in this game yet so please take into account this review based on that fact. I have to be honest. I was very disappointed about the childhood part of this game. My character really didn’t have a purpose. The grown-up sister did all of the talking and interaction in the storyline. I know I am just a small boy in the tale but it took a lot of fun out of the game. It’s like all I did was follow her around and act like a person that had not anything to offer. The only excellent moment occurred when I beat up the bully. I also didn’t like the tale line about the dog. I wish I would have had a chance to choose if and when I wanted to bring the dog home. In the tale it’s like the sister stated no to the dog two times and then all of a sudden the dog is at our house and she quickly changes her mind. That wasn’t very creative. I wish the relationship between the boy/girl and the dog starting out could have been written better. I reflect the tale line would have been better if I could have been the huge brother taking care of my small brother and my small brother/sister got shot and then I could know the revenge part a lot more. Basically weak storyline at first. The first fable did the childhood part a lot better.
As for the game after childhood, I have loved it a lot. I like the ability to be able to work and earn cash. I have already bought most of the businesses and houses in Oakfield (I reflect that is its name.) I’m nearly mayor and all I had to do is cut a lot of wood and make knives to do it. It took a while but I loved it. Basically during the middle adult section there is a lot to do. You can get to know people, play with your dog, choose to be evil or nice, or just explore the environment. Again, I haven’t experienced a lot of the game so I won’t be like some of these people and write things just to be writing them.
The dog is rather clean though and I am not even a huge dog lover. The dog does serve a purpose and that is vital to me. He can protect you, find treasure, and be your friend. I like him the most because he finds me things like keys, gold and other splendid things. It’s fun to throw the ball with him also.
I’ll be updating this as I play. So far it is just a 3 star game due to weak storyline. That may change though… hopefully! The first Fable had a lot better storyline.
UPDATE: I accidentally killed my wife! While making my wife fall in like with me by giving her gifts, playing her music, and making romatic gestures to her, she felling in like with me. The conundrum with doing those things was that everyone around her fell in like with me also. So after marriage, these same people followed me to my house and wouldnt leave! I wanted to have a romatic relationship with my wife and they wouldn’t leave the room. I tried using the “dismiss” command and that didnt work. I tried slapping them and that didnt work. The only thing they would say to me is that they couldn’t know why I wanted them to leave, over and over… frustrating. Out of my frustration, I took off the weapons safety feature so I could slash one of them to make a point but instead of pulling out my sword, I accidently pressed the incorrect button and pull out my shotgun and killed my wife. She went flying across the room and of course the villagers went running… finally! The whole town went crazy calling me murderer and wife killer. It took me a long time to get another woman to fall in like with me due to this mistake that was brought on by faulty AI. I shouldnt have to go to that extent to get someone out of my house regardless of how much they admire me.
With all that said, even though the event made me mad, it was VERY entertaining! It was amusing in a crude type of way and everyone I tell laughs about it. One thing I like about the game is the social interaction. If you like the social aspect of the video game “The Sims,” you should like this also.
Back to the storyline… it is getting better but still not even close as excellent as the first FABLE. I wish the AI worked a small better also. I also agree that the camera angles are subpar and the casting of spells is not even close to as excellent as nothingness. This is still a pretty excellent game though.
