F12002 was a wast of cash. I am a huge F1 fan and have most of the other F1 sports meeting out there, compared to F12001 this game has very few excellent points to it. Grffics are ok, all the teams are there including new Toyota, and course updates are there. Now what makes this game [stink], unlike F12001 handeling is unconrtolable, driving a straight line is next to imposible, its not to terrible by your self but in traffic its terrible. What i cant stand is there is no traction control, no launch control. Off the start u just spin the tires and everyone goes by you. If your looking for a game like Nascar 2002 where u can play the game for a while and get used to it and be competting like a pro your not going to like this one. In F12001 i was able to guide with the leaders and win some races, with F12002 im off the track all the tiem and in the pits fixing broken wings and suspensions. Over all if you buy this game to guide liek the real F1 drivers its going to end up pool dust on the shelf.

This is easily the most well rounded F1 game since N64’s World Grand Prix. This game will take quite some time to learn just the basics and memorize the tracks(if your new to them). Dont expect to breeze around the turns on your first try. This is not a unpleasant game like Gran Turismo that has not one bit of realism in it. This is real racing! I give it 4 stars just because there are a few bugs with the rules system. 1.) if you are chief under golden-haired you can get a penalty for passing. How? 2.)You can get a penalty for perilous driving if a guy slams you from behind?…Behond that this game is brilliant and Im pleased to have something finally rival that ancient N64 classic.

As an avid f1 fan I can tell you that this is one of the best f1 sports meeting to come to the US. I will give you a brief description of what this game contains. First of all the game contains all the drivers from the 2002 f1 season, as well as all the tracks. Except for Hockenheim which changed for that season, all of the tracks are pretty accurate. As far as graphics go, this game does a decent job with the resources the ps2 has. Although you will get the eventual lag when there are a lot of cars in front of you, the game plays really charming. In this game you can change the set up of the car to some extent, tires, wing, brakes, etc. One of the things I did not like about this game is that the flags and penalty system seems too technical. For example, if you’re going for a chicane, and you underbrake or you get tagged from the back and you go off track you will immediately get a penalty for cutting the track. Also, when there’s a golden-haired flag and someone passes you, for no reason you will get a penalty for passing under yellows. This game is also excellent for beginners, because you can turn on a bunch of aids including braking, turning, and turn assists. You can also turn off hurt, flags, and other rules. This game may not be the best f1 game out there, but it is the best thing we can get right now for the ps2, unless you can get your hands on a european copy I truly recommend getting a copy of this game.

Excellent game, I have been Formula 1 fans since small. This game is just fantasic. This is slightly better than F1 2001 because it adds the slip stream and new type of license challenge. So, it is a splendid game.
