Fun but frustrating. Focusing the camera and controlling the characters seemed to be difficult for the younger kids.

I primarily picked up this game (and the sequel) for my kids (daughter mainly) who aren't quite old enough to work with the controllers much, although (my daughter) actually knows what to do with a couple DS games. Anyway, they have tremendous fun seeing themselves, flailing about, and getting the satisfaction of controlling the game.

Only gripe is this thing needs lots of light.

great idea on sony's part to try interactivity through camera around 2002. too bad they didn't advertise it enough so it didn't catch on & the technology at the time was limited. the camera "sees" motion by seeing colors. change in color = movement. so making sure you are different color then everything behind you, no bright lights where the camera can see, limited clutter/items behind you & enough light to see is crucial.
Games:
Beat Freak - hit speakers when dot goes over (rhythm game)
Kung Foo - the little cartoon guys jump/attack you in middle, punch, flick them, etc. away, (a lot of fun & very funny characters)
Wishi Washi - wave hands to clean windows as fast as possible (dull)
Soccer Craze - standing between buildings, bump soccer ball up & keep on screen as well as aim & hit bad guys hanging out windows (not bad)
Boxing Chump - you are in a boxing ring (only see half of your body) & punch/dodge various opponents
UFO Juggler - wave hands over ufo to get them to take off like spinning a plate
Slap Stream - 4 clouds & bad guys/mice & good girls (in rabbit costumes) will appear, only smack bad guys, lose if smack 3+ girls by accident (not as fun as Kung Foo)
Disco Stars - touch the 6 spotlights in rhythm, but in a simon/memory style game
Ghost Eliminator - wave hands over ghosts til they inflate & burst (dull/exhausting)
Mirror Time - screen rotates, reverses & splits & have to touch corner to save girl each time (puzzle style)
Rocket Rumble - different color rockets go up, touch & then detonate 1 color at a time unless white joiner appears & set them all off before they fall back down (looks cool, harder then it sounds)
Video messaging - also save videos to the ps2 memory card & swap them with friends, etc.

this game contains a diff mix of games for the very young as well as games that teenagers/adults will fine amusing & great for reflexes & not easy. games have easy, med & hard difficulties & even athethic people will find their reflexes challenged.

find videos on youtube of gameplay & couple companies have made some flash games using a pc cam to play similar games, though these eyegames were made much better.
