There’s no most likely reason the Dynasty Warriors series has such a devoted fan base. The makers have mined the same plot for four installments, based on the same few heroic tales of ancient China. The dialogue is as stilted as ever, and no real surprises unfold. But reflect of the zealotry people have for goofy, unrealistic kung fu flicks, and you’ll start to see Dynasty Warriors’ lasting appeal.
If you’ve never touched an earlier version of the game, here’s what to know: Dynasty Warriors is a fighting game series played from the third-person perspective, where you pick a military general as your avatar and fight owing to across sprawling battlefields. The generals all have distinct personalities, and there are a few women characters included, too. As you campaign, you collect special items–such as the Dragon Amulet, which increases your Musou gauge (Musou allows you to enact special, prolonged attacks on multiple enemies.) You have bodyguards, you kill enemy generals, and by the side of the way your new skill points increase your weapon’s potential.
With DW4, there are many new additions, only some of which are flourishing. Charge attacks and items are souped up and truly improved. For example, equipping a magic orb can cause you to freeze enemies in a block of ice. You can edit characters, but with so many excellent preset ones to choose from, chances are you won’t spend a lot of time effective on your own. In addition to a better game engine, there’s also the option of one-on-one-duels. The maps are immense compared to previous editions, with a lot more variance in what can happen by the end of your mission.
Even with a significant number of new features, it’s debatable whether Dynasty Warriors 4 is a right overhaul, or just another release to cash in on the massive popularity of the franchise. Regardless, it’s addictive for reasons that nearly defy description. You just want to clear this act, to get to the next stage, and to reveal the goodies you’ve received from killing that huge boss. Lu Bu- he is awsome. he is really excellent. if you are not being Zhao Yun be lu bu. he is really strong and is a splendid horse rider.
Cao Cao- 1 of the 3 almighty kings. he is my second favorite. my first is lu bie. he is alright. he has sword and its fun to stab people with it so i pick him once in a blue moon
lu bie- he is my favorite king. one of his officeors is Zhao Yun which makes lu bie’s army very strong. that is one of the reasons i like him . he is also a smart king.

ma chao- he is pretty cool he is alright at fighting he isnt my first pick but for a challange i pick him
zhang liao- he is like lu bu . he is not splendid but better than excellent. i pick him alot becasue his moves re fun
xu zu- he is a stout guy with a giant mallet for a weapon. he looks like a sumo wrestler but has a different uniform. he is slow but one of his moves he sits on a guy which is pretty amusing so a pick every once in a while for a excellent laugh
samiyi- he is kind of dumb . he doesnt stand a chance without his fourth weapon. his weapon is a fan. he is only fun on one level call battle at wu zhang plains becuase his troops are huge. he has about 12 million people which is a 10 tons more than usual. it is cool because all these guys follow you and they fisht for you and its cool
huang- awsome guy. very strong. his weapon is a monstrous axe. very fun to be him he is one of the best characters
thats its . there are about 42 levels and i nmaed most of the guys . if you like fighting , action and adventure you will like this game. there are girl fighters and they are not that terrible. game if very fun. it is long and will keep you playing. it is worth the price and you are not wasting your $$. hope you thought my review was helpful .seya!

ITS A REALY GREAT GAME.First of all even though its the 4th of its series and everyone thinks its getting a small ancient it just isn’t.I bought dynasty warriors3 in 2002 it was splendid.Ok ok i havent played dw4 BUT i have read just about EVERYTHING about it. For all you ppl who are fans of the siries YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED
and for all you ppl who havent played it you should try it.
The game is about the three kingdoms cycle in china (about 1800 years ago.)You chose the role of one of themore then 40 fierce generals and battle imposible odds in the best hack and slash game of the year. here are some pros and cons about this game.

It’s a splendid game with heaps of fun and replay regard though going owing to the same maps again and again does get a small dull, it’s for someone who likes beat-em-ups or slash sports meeting.
My only conundrum mainly with it the sudden introduction of all these half naked chicks, including female generals, the captains and the nanman women, all disguistly barely clothed, while ALL the men ARE fully clothed. And I mean it. Koei is just trying -like every other company- to get a straight males attention while women weren’t even allowed on the battlefield, so if this is so historical, why add them now? If it stayed with the sexy Bishonen like it should have this series would be alot better, maybe even if the boys got some half naked costumes but no. No chance at all.
