the hinges are a small flimsy and it does not protect the top edges from bumps. Otherwise, i like the feel (like silicone sleeve) but tough as plastic. But if you don’t mind the bulk, i would go for the Nerf.

I bought this for my 8 year ancient son to protect his new DSI. I really thaught it was a excellent case, and I liked the tight fit it provided. I also thaught the drawer was a excellent thought. My son despised it because it hid the blue affect of the DSI and he really despised the drawer, because it made it too thick. I caught him removing the bottom part several times. Finally after about a month and a half, the small tab that allows the top to pivot broke off, rendering the case garbage. I still reflect this is a nice case, but might not be a excellent choice for young kids. I’m sure my son removing and reinatalling it had something to do with it breaking, but I am surprised it broke so soon.

I like this case!! It is everything I hoped it would be and then some! The extra storage comes in handy so much, it was the total reason I bought this item. I was surprised at how durable yet super soft it is! A splendid product for those wishing to store sports meeting with their system on the go!

Santa gave this to my son with his new DS Lite, but I had to return it to the North Pole because it really only fits the DSi, not the DS Lite!! Amazon issued a full refund and did not charge return shipping, so I have no complaints about that. I did have to do some fancy talking to clarify how I was going to ship it back to Santa though!! We finished up buying the Nerf DS Lite case and it is splendid. Amazon – please change the description of this product!!!!
