   With all the hype around the upcoming new Nintendo DSi XL, there are some companies that are starting to get their jump making third-party accessories for the system. That unfortunately is the case with this DSi XL Screen Protector Kit. While it does seem like a excellent thought, protecting the viewer from the glare of the light, when you play your sports meeting, it unfortunately can easily scratch the scree, if you want to choose to take it off, feeling you can’t see some spots during your favorite sports meeting, or if you don’t honestly feel you have a excellent enough shot when you want to take your favorite pictures.

   Price: C+

   Convience: C

   You pull off the thicker plastic page the screen protector is on, then you charming it on the screen. Last you remove the tab that is on the screen protector to help you hold it. Pretty much like other ones you buy. Only on these they used such cheap glue on the tab that it doesn’t come off!!! How stupid can you get?

   First off, let me say that I own a DS Lite, and on day one I bought screen protectors for it because I have seen the hurt that a stylus can to to the bottom screen after using it for a while.

   I bought these screen protectors before the system was out. I figuered that at $5, I can check them out, and if I didn’t like them, I could just buy the Nintendo brand when I selected up the system. First of all, there are 2 sets of screen protectors. They are practically simple to install as long as you take your time and are careful. Each screen protector has a clear strip on each side with a small tab for simple confiscation. The instructions couldn’t be simpler(remove tab 1, apply screen protector, remove tab 2). You also get a soft cloth, which IS needed because you don’t want as much as a spec of dust on the screen when you place the protectors on because it will leave a bubble on the screen. I had to remove the protector a couple of times because of some small dust on the screen, but, the glue on the protector was still excellent and useable even after peeling it off and putting it on a couple times. the last thing included is a small piece of cardboard. It is used to charming out any air bubbles.

   These screen protectors are definately worth it. They are half the price of the Nintendo Brand and they do the same thing. The fact that there are two sets are included means that after the bottom screenprotector is all scratched up after much usage, I still have another set waiting.
