Racers in this game take on the role of Max Axel in their quest for the championship trophy, getting behind the wheel of any of 18 high-tech LEGO cars based on the LEGO Racers construction toy range. A customization feature also allows players to upgrade their vehicles based on performance, with the top-rated drivers earning the best engine, tire, turbo, and aerodynamic upgrades.
Drome Racers offers three fun and challenging modes of play: quick race for instant play; arcade for both release race (choose the car and track) and time trial (race against the timer to beat the record lap time); and career for the tale-based, multi-challenge league racing. Each multi-challenge race is a set of two to seven stages in different environments, mixing tracks with mountain and canyon backdrops. There is also a two-player, split-screen multiplayer mode.

This game SUCKS! The graphics are okay, but the rest is garbage! If you reflect this game is in fact fun, you haven’t played a REAL racing game. It is such a dissipate of hard-earned cash.

Drome Racers is a very excellent game. There is lots of action, and it is quick-paced. I like the music, too. On the nine tracks, you can get hurt by crashing or by being hit by a powerup. When your car is severely hurt, black smoke comes out of your car and its performance suffers. You can collect powerups by driving over them, and some of them can be fired at other racers to cause hurt and slow them down. There are 18 cars total, with 6 for each of on-road, off-road, and dragster. They all have different top alacrity, acceleration, handling, and toughness. I like the tracks a lot. My favorite tracks are the Foundry and Red Creek Cavern. The best cars are Dune Picket, Tremor, Torq Racer, and Pulse Concept. This game has lots of action. You could be 1st one second, then two seconds later, you could be 6th just by getting hit by a RC missile or a Hatchet. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes racing.
