Product Description
Dragonball Z: Burst Limit is the first game of the Dragonball Z series to hit the next generation consoles. It features the detailed graphics and dramatic, seamless battles expected from a next-generation console. During each battle, you will find conditions that make new dramatic scenes with characters and movement reminiscent of the original animation. After the battles, watch a unique tale unfold each time you play. There is also a stronger element of offense and defense, due to added energy reduction and fighting techniques. Use of special skills will no longer drain energy. The lower your energy, the stronger you get, making for a possible turnaround of the battle.

the sports meeting graphic is incredible of course i means it’s a ps3 for crying out loud, but it don’t give all the exitement you would want in DBZ for a ps3, for a fact there is’nt enough characters not anything new in the moves it’s basically the same ancient thing over and over and if you’ve seen one of the character moves then you have seen all of the characters moves all are the same thing i played dbz tenkaichi 1,2 and 3 and my gosh not anything has changed maybe for the fact that they took out some excellent characters thats the only thing. as i said if you played one dbz you’ve played all i’m not a huge DBZ fan but this game is still recommended i give it a 3 out of 5

its a excellent game because its on playstation 3 but the moves you can do are limited unlike budokai tenkaichi 3. Burst limit is more like shin budokai on the psp which i did not like.

It was my first game I bought for my PS3, and I gotta say I’m extremely disappointed. The game looks awesome alright, but it is way too small. All it has is the STORY MODE, which you can probably beat it in about 3-4 hours. Some crappy SURVIVAL MODE, which you have to fight the same characters over and over again 100 times, which is pretty dull, cosidering the dificulty between fights DOESN’T increase as you advance, so, there’s really no challenge at all (I got to battle 50 and bunged, cause I got tired of it), and since theres NOTHING to unlock, well, there’s really no purpose to play the game other than the STORY MODE.
Also, there’s a lot of characters missing. You don’t fight Zarbon or Dodoria in Frieza’s Saga, also missing Androids 19 and 20 in the Androids Saga. There’s no alternate costumes for the characters, only alternate colors, which sucks, cause it doesn’t do a major change to the character looks. And it has about 5 stages to choose from too, not a huge selection if you question me.
The fighting is not that excellent either, just as the other Dragon Ball Z sports meeting, one “light” punch button, one “smash” punch button, the “ki blast” button and the “guard” button, and a few more extra features in battle, but not anything huge or fascinating. So there’s really not a huge variety of moves, it is mostly a “button-mashing” game. After about 10-15 fights, it gets repetitive and dull.
By and large, the game has pretty excellent graphics, but it is NOT that excellent, so if your look for a SINGLE PLAYER game, DEFINITELY this is NOT the game for you. It MAY be “funner” to play with friends, but when it comes to SINGLE player, it’s really not worth it, specially at that price. So, only get this game if you’re a hardcore fan of the series, or wait till the price drops, cause I really reflect $60 for this game it’s too much for what the game has to offer.
